Truly, if I were stranded on a desert island — and I somehow had the time and energy for makeup — and I could have only one beauty product with me, I'd choose Fenty Beauty's Mattemoiselle Lipstick every. Single. Time.

Believe me when I say it's so much more than just a lipstick — this formula does everything. Its pigmented yet diffusible color payoff makes it a prime candidate for multitasking, and that's exactly what I do with it almost every day I have to be out the door quickly.

In fact, Mattemoiselle is the number one product I reach for when I just can't be bothered to spend more than five minutes on my makeup. Here's how this one lipstick collapses my entire routine into just a few steps.

I do a majority of my daily makeup routine with a single Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Lipstick in the shade Spanked.

Spanked works really well on fair, rosy skin like mine, but Freckle Fiesta's more suitable for medium skin tones.

And deeper skin tones can do this exact same thing with Ma'Damn.

I start this extremely quick routine with a handful of base products that take mere seconds to apply.

First, I apply BareMinerals Full Coverage Concealer under my eyes and on any spots or rosy patches.

Next, I swipe my favorite new brow product, Lime Crime's Bushy Brow Strong Hold Gel, upward onto my eyebrows.

Finally, before the real fun begins, I use a Lush Cosmetics Lip Scrub followed by some balm to prepare my lips for the lipstick I'll put on later.

Now, on to the Mattemoiselle. First, I apply it to my cheeks, which you can do two different ways. The first method (faster but less precise) is to dot it onto your cheeks and use your fingers to blend it out.

But my preferred method is to swipe a hearty amount onto the back of my hand and use a blush brush to diffuse it.

Either way, I make sure to sweep the product all the way up to my temples to warm my entire face up — this routine cuts down on time and products, so there's no bronzer to rely on for contouring.

Then I do something a little ridiculous: I put lipstick on my eyelids, because I'm really committed to the monochromatic look.

The best part about Mattemoiselle, as opposed to other lipsticks you could theoretically do this routine with, is that it has a formula that's somehow both sheer and pigmented at the same time. It can have whatever color payoff you want it to. All you have to do is blend it out until you get where you want.

Obviously, I put it on my lips.

Sometimes, I'll even blend a little onto the tip of my nose. It seems weird, but trust me, it pulls everything together.

If you haven't tried doing this with your regular blush, you ought to.

To top it all off, I put on a light mascara (my favorite is Glossier Lash Slick) and a cream highlighter (here I'm wearing a $4 E.L.F. stick), and BOOM. I'm done and out the door in under six minutes.

Take a swing at this routine for yourself and tell me that it's not the most convenient beauty thing you've ever done.
