The days may seem like they're dragging on, but a little good news can go a long way — which is why we've rounded up some of the best spring 2020 beauty and skin-care releases. Brands like Gucci Beauty, Dominique Cosmetics, and Nars are giving us beauty newness that gives us renewed hope that, one day, we'll be able to go outside again.

Dominique Cosmetics Skin Gloss, $25–$80, Dominique Cosmetics

A good skin gloss has a myriad of uses — allover body highlighting, a bit of gloss on your lips, mixed with foundation for a dewy finish, or swept across the eyes for a modern, easy, everyday look. Dominique Cosmetics' new Skin Glosses come in four beautiful new colors; I'm especially partial to that summer peach color.

Nars Laguna collection, $18–$45, Sephora

While we were quarantining, Nars released its Laguna collection, a dazzling beauty ode to summer days spent at the beach. As a reformed adult goth, I'm not the type to sit outside and collect the rays, but I can live out that fantasy with the bronzer and gold Lip Oil duo.

Natasha Denona Mini Retro Eyeshadow Palette, $25, Sephora

There's something so satisfying about tiny things. Natasha Denona's newest mini palette hits all the right notes with its highly edited mix of shimmers and mattes, giving you endless color combinations in just a small palette.

Excuse me, this new Laneige serum looks amazing. It's meant to be a makeup primer, but ups the glow factor with diamond mineral powder. I want diamonds on my face! It also includes ceramides to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day.

Gucci Beauty Mascara L’Obscur, Éclat de Beauté Effet Lumière All Over Gloss, and Rouge à Lèvres Mat, $33–$42, Sephora

Gucci Beauty is making a bigger push into the cosmetics world this year, and I'm all for it. The brand has just released its new Mascara L’Obscur, which has a buildable formula that I'm curious to check out.

The Éclat de Beauté Effet Lumière All Over Gloss is a potted clear body gloss that can be used anywhere. I love dabbing a bit of clear gloss under my eye and below my eyebrows, so I can't wait to try this formula.

Finally, the brand has also launched its matte lipstick line, Rouge à Lèvres Mat, in 32 shades housed in a beautiful gold tube package.

Supergoop! Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40, $36, Sephora

>>Get it here

Supergoop! wants you to glow this spring. Sensing a trend here, folks? The brand's new sunscreen formula protects your skin with SPF 40 (the AAD recommends a minimum of SPF 30 for daily use) and boosts luminosity with a "pearlescent finish." It promises to function as a makeup primer and contains hyaluronic acid for hydration, so this stuff really does it all.

Kaja's releases always get me excited, because they make makeup fun and approachable. I'm loving these cushion cheek stamps, which come in liquid bronzer and highlighter formulas. Why yes, please light up my face with a giant moon. Sold.
