When Cardi B canceled a slew of shows last month due to complications with plastic surgery, everyone had an opinion. For some, it was a "told you so" moment after the many procedures the rapper had undergone. Others were supportive of the decision, and some urged her to just lose weight the old-fashioned way.

And while the rapper has never really cared about the opinions of others, it seems like the past few turbulent weeks have given her a change of heart. According to Cardi, she's giving up plastic surgery and is instead looking to alternative body-image tools.

Last month, much to the dismay of her fans, Cardi B had to cancel several shows.

The decision came after doctors ordered the hip-hop superstar to take it easy after breast augmentation and liposuction procedures. The constant traveling and moving caused Cardi's body to heal improperly and posed great dangers to her health. However, the very transparent rapper was candid with her fans — she apologized and admitted why she had to cancel the shows outright.

And she was just as unhappy as those who purchased tickets.

She said the many cancellations resulted in her losing tons of money, something we all know Cardi takes seriously.

“I hate canceling shows because I love money. I’m a money addict,” Cardi shared on Instagram Stories. “I get paid a lot of money — a lot of money for these shows. A lot of money. I’m canceling millions of dollars in shows, but health is wealth, so I have to do what I have to do.”

But her break was very much needed.

Not only was Cardi getting constant headaches, she was also swelling tremendously from excessive travel, a result of what many say is spiked blood pressure.

"Look how swollen my feet get every time I take a plane; imagine my body. Reasons why doctors told me to chill on shows," she captioned a photo of her massive feet.

It looks like the experience is bringing about some positive changes.

Cardi is trading in the knives and needles for the treadmill, and so far it looks like the results have been positive.

"I been working out for the past 2 weeks cause [redacted] I ain’t getting surgery again but let me tell you I haven’t got a headache ever since," she wrote on Twitter. And though only 14 days in, it seems like the increase in physical activity is already proving beneficial for more than just her body's appearance.

Fans are pleased with her decision.

Though the opinions of others on one's body don't matter, that didn't stop hundreds of fans from showing the rapper their support.

"Wise decision to start hitting the gym. Take it from experience. You'll feel and look better. Your body will appreciate you and show you the love you're now giving to it. All that fake stuff isn't necessary. Good luck & God bless you & yours," a fan tweeted.

But of course, there were critics.

Commenters went as far as to compare her with Beyoncé, and said that if the singer can find the time to work out, so could Cardi. However, Cardi fans were quick to note that their situations, due to level of success and fame, are not the same.

"People really comparing Beyoncé working out to Cardi B saying she doesn’t have time. I believe 100% that when you reach a certain level in achievement you can totally flex your own schedule. PERHAPS it’s a place she hasn’t gotten to yet," someone considered.

All in all, however, we just want Cardi to be healthy.

And it looks like she's on the right track to doing so. So long as she's content with her body and taking care of herself, we're all on board.
