Issa Rae looking stunning on the red carpet is no surprise; really, it's expected at this point. Yet we continue to gawk at her seemingly poreless skin and textured curls that exude black girl magic time and time again. Last night's Emmy Awards ceremony was no different for the nominee.

In short, Rae looked like money personified. But would you believe us if we told you the "Insecure" star's entire look cost less than $60? The CoverGirl spokeswoman's makeup was brought to us by makeup extraordinaire Joanna Simkim, and everything she used is available at your nearest drugstore.

Here's the play by play.

Makeup artist Joanna Simkim, a key player in Rae's glam squad, provided Refinery29 with all the details from last night's look.

We don't know about you guys, but the first thing we noticed was her even, effortless glow.

Come on ... just look at that skin.

The smooth finish is thanks to CoverGirl's TruBlend Matte Made Foundation in D80 ($9, Target).

But foundation can only be as good as its application method, and Simkim's applicator of choice for the night was her trusty beautyblender ($20, Sephora).

Instead of using a matte setting powder as we'd normally expect, she set Rae's foundation with the CoverGirl TruBlend Super Stunner Highlight Palette in Glowing Up ($10, Target).

That is some next-level genius, Joanna. Genius!

Simkim played off the gold and silver beading on Rae's gown (er, jumpsuit?) to create a light-reflecting, metallic eye. She requested a fabric swatch of the dress in advance to perfectly conceptualize the look.

Simkin says she used blue shades from CoverGirl's Dazed TruNaked Eye Shadow Palette in Jewels ($8, Target) to accentuate the light blue of Rae's gown.

For lipstick, she kept it simple with CoverGirl's Demi-Matte Lipstick in Streaker ($6, Target).

Makeup wasn't the only thing from the drugstore that Rae rocked last night.

Can you guess what else?

Her nails, perfectly painted by nail artist Eri Ishizu, were covered in Essie's upcoming Concrete Glitters collection.

The exact shade she wore, Venture to the Venue, will be available at drugstores in October.

These are the glitters you need for fall!

Just because it's 100 percent necessary, we also just have to take a moment for this hair. Felicia Leatherwood, natural hair maven and stylist to the stars, slayed Rae's textured chignon.

And now we have an unrelenting urge to go hit up the corner drugstore.

Do I look like Issa Rae yet?
