And of course you want a closer look at the colors, right? Here they are, along with Kat's description of each shade — as well as where the inspiration for the colors came from.
Zero: "A pale cement gray," named after one of her best friends' cats.
Dagger: "Cool, dusty gray/periwinkle."
Woolf: Inspired by one of JKat's favorite poets, Virginia Woolf.
Plan 9: The liquid version of the existing Studded Kiss green shade.
Dreamer: Neon aqua.
Blue Blooded: Luscious royal blue.
Roxy: Already a special edition shade, this will be released full size in April or March.
K-Dub: "Named this beautiful soft/neon berry after a woman I look up to in many ways: Kristin Walcott (the vice president of Kendo, the company that distributes Kat Von D Beauty). Pre-launching 4/20.
Rubens: Inspired by Kat's favorite Old Master, Peter Paul Rubens. This color will be limited edition, and only available at katvondbeauty.com
Miss Argentina: "Maximum fuchsia, inspired by Beetlejuice. Duh!"
Traviesa: Kat's childhood nickname. It means "naughty."
Hyper Hyper: "There's not a bright enough emoji to describe this motherf*cker."
La Lupe: "Warm almond. This special shade is amazing! And yes, inspired by the famous Cuban singer!"
Orale: Bright orange.
Malice: Inspired by Kat's friend, Alice "Malice" McMunn.
Sacred Heart: Muted pumpkin.
Plath: "So, I got production to move quicker so we could release full size versions of this shade!" It's coming in February.
XO: This shade is already out. It's part of the Better Together collection, exclusively at Sephora.
Lovecraft: "Finally! Our beloved Studded Kiss shade will be in the Everlasting Formula! Currently, it's available in the Everlasting Obsession vault on katvondbeauty.com."
Haze: Dedicated to Kat's friend, Jessica Haze.
Nocturna: Deepest grape.
Muñeca: Nude petal.
Ophelia: Nude chestnut.
Ludwig: Nude fawn (named after her cat, Ludwig).
Sanctuary: Nude coffee.
Hawkwind: Nude sienna.
Crucifix: Deep chocolate.
Kat adds: "The last 6 nude shades [Muńeca, Ophelia, Ludwig, Sanctuary, Hawkwind, Crucifix] will be sold individually, and in a discounted nude-bundle in February - exclusively at Sephora!"
And then, of course, there's GOLD SKOOL.
"Gold Skool is a metallic, longwear top-coat, that I'll be launching for Kat Von D Beauty's 10 year anniversary!!" she writes. "CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT'S COMING UP?!"
These shades will be dropping throughout 2017.
No word yet on whether this means other shades will be retired, or if this will just expand the existing Everlasting Liquid Lip range.
Which of these lip colors are you most excited about?
I cannot tell a lie: I cannot WAIT for Gold Skool! I hope it's as shiny and opaque as it looks here. Anyway; tell me your thoughts in the comments, or Facebook!
