Big news for Kylie Jenner and Kylie Cosmetics.

On Monday morning, it was announced that major beauty house Coty Inc. would be shelling out $600 million in cash for a majority stake in Jenner’s company Kylie Cosmetics. The news comes just days after the brand announced its highly anticipated Christmas collection. Jenner, who's already a billionaire, took her brand to an estimated worth of $1.2 billion with the acquisition.

The move comes as Coty is working to acquire brands with a younger, more Gen Z–focused demographic.

Already the owner of massive makeup brands such as Covergirl and Rimmel London, the beauty powerhouse is looking to take on a trendy brand that will transform the company for years to come. And aside from lip kits, eye shadow palettes, and highlighters, Coty will also be gaining control of the growing Kylie Skin empire as well.

But Jenner won't be completely out of the picture.

Though Coty is now mostly in control of Kylie Cosmetics, Jenner will continue to have a part in the creative side of the business, formulating new products and serving as the face of her eponymous brand. Jenner has yet to make a statement, but the budding businesswoman is surely patting herself on the back for this one. The beauty world can be a tricky place, but she's clearly mastered it.
