Kylie Jenner has begun to open up A LOT more on her Instagram account. The reality star and beauty mogul previously stuck to posting her Kylie Cosmetics, sexy selfies, and photos of her adorable daughter Stormi Webster. Lately — with feisty clapbacks against influencers in her comments and personal notes — Jenner has been showing fans another side. Her latest personal post invites her loyal followers further into her life and personal struggles as she opens up about the motivation behind her first-ever tattoo

Kylie Jenner got her first tattoo in 2015.

The tattoo is the phonetic spelling of the word "sanity." At the time, Jenner didn't provide any context about its inspiration. She simply wrote, "All red," and tagged the artist Bang Bang NYC (who also does Rihanna's tattoos by the way). Her comments were filled with questions about what her tattoo meant, but Jenner just kept living life, of course.

Now she's offered an explanation that gives fans a little insight into her life's ups and downs.

"I’m proud of myself, my heart, and my strength. Growing up in the light with a million eyes on you just isn’t normal. I’ve lost friends along the way and I’ve lost myself too sometimes. My first tattoo was “sanity” to remind myself every day to keep it," Jenner wrote in a heartfelt note on Instagram.

"I’ve struggled with anxiety my whole young adult life and after my baby, I dealt with all the internal ups and downs," Jenner continued.

Jenner assured her fans that she's feeling much better these days. "I felt like I had to find myself completely again. I keep a whole lot to myself but just wanted to share and let you know I’m human. My life is not perfect and what you see here on social media is just the surface," she wrote.

Jenner also ended her note with a bit of encouragement for her followers.

"Be gentle with yourself, move on, and let go. We are all capable of great things, worthy of love, and allowed to express ourselves. Do more of what makes you happy and be unapologetic. Now is your season. We all have a magnificent destiny," Jenner concluded.

Jenner's tattoo post was met with a ton of positive energy.

Of course, her sisters chimed in with positive encouragement. "Amen sweet sister!!!! I am proud of you always," Khloé wrote. "I am proud of you. Let it out," Kourtney added. Kim commented with star emojis. Even family-adjacent Sofia Richie commented, "Love you."

Unfortunately, some people didn't care for Jenner opening up about her anxiety.

"My problems are mostly because there's not much money to support my family. What the [redacted] can u be so anxious about?" a person wrote. "You literally GOT everything! Trying to make it seem like you struggle like most of us do. Girl, sit down," one critic wrote.

But, well, this response is just weird. Being rich doesn't make you exempt from experiencing major anxiety, which is classified as a mental health disorder, as defined by the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. Jenner also isn't the only celebrity or rich person to open up about struggling with anxiety.

Meanwhile, lots of other regular people who also aren't in Kylie Jenner's tax bracket appreciated that she shared a vulnerable moment.

Jenner's post made them want her to share even more uplifting messages. "I must admit, I don't follow you nor do I purchase your products. I check once in a while and today I did because the picture, it's beautiful, BUT when I read the message my heart melted. I see a beautiful young lady, a person with dreams and imperfections just like the rest of us... Please keep posting this kind of stuff more often it makes us see the beauty in your [heart]."

Kudos to Kylie Jenner for sharing that life isn't just about private jets, selfies, and cute tattoos.
