"The Nightmare Before Christmas" is a goth classic.
It's easy to see why. A spooky, stripey love story between a rebellious rag doll and an ambitious skeleton, all with a sneaky lesson about cultural appropriation? Yep, we're in.
So prepare your beauty-loving heart to be delighted, because we've found an OFFICIAL "Nightmare Before Christmas" eye shadow palette.
Boys and girls of every age, would you like to see something strange?
The palette comes with a double-ended brush, and 12 shadow colors with the CUTEST "Nightmare"-inspired shade names.
The palette contains a mixture of mattes, shimmers, and micro-glitter formulas, and according to Hot Topic, everything is cruelty-free.
From top to bottom, and left to right: Bone Daddy, Moonlight, Zero, Oogie Boogie, What's This?, Shock, Tombstone, Barrel, Sandy Claws, Rag Doll, Pumpkin King, and Lock.
There's just one problem — it might not be that great to use. YouTuber Sarah of Crueltyfreebyme reviewed the palette, and had some very mixed opinions.
She found these shadows frustrating to work with, as they're patchy and not super-intense. Though she was able to (eventually) work her way up to a cool look, she felt that the quality could have been better for the price point — and considering who the target market is.
"This something marketed to people in middle school," she said. "For somebody in junior high, this is a lot of money. If you're saving up your money or your gift cards to buy something, this [palette] is a big deal. So come on."
