June is Pride month, which is a time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community! While many people think that Pride is all about rainbows and elaborate parades, Pride is actually about casting aside the stigma and shame so many LGBTQ+ people were (and still are) forced to feel because of their gender, sexuality, identity, or who they love.

In the U.S., Pride month takes place during the month of June in order to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which occurred in June 1969. A year after the Stonewall uprising, the very first Gay Pride march was held in New York City — a parade has been held annually ever since.

When it comes to purchasing Pride products — like makeup, clothing, and accessories — we should make sure to put our money where our mouth is, and support organizations that help the LGBTQ+ community. Check out the list below to learn more about some of the best Pride beauty products you can buy that actually give back!
