For nearly an entire year now, Tarte Cosmetics has been teasing a foundation to match its beloved and bestselling Shape Tape concealer. Well, it's finally been confirmed and revealed — but now shoppers aren't so stoked for it.

Tarte's Shape Tape foundation line has been revealed, but there's one massive problem.

It's not the price. It's not the formula. It's not the release date.

THIS is Tarte's shade range. That's the whole thing.

There are only 15 shades, and out of that 15 only ONE is suitable for deep-complected customers.

And in the age of Fenty Beauty, a brand of Tarte's caliber has no excuse for excluding people of color from its foundation.

In fact, Tarte's singular deep shade is so wildly out of place in this lineup, many feel just plain insulted by it.

It really shouldn't come as a shock, considering Shape Tape concealer doesn't offer much for deep skin tones, either.

Yet there's always that glimmer of hope that brands will improve — a hope that Tarte just completely squashed.

It's 2018, people.
