According to The Right to Shower's website, more than 550,000 people are experiencing homelessness and have limited or no access to daily showers. That simple luxury that many of us take for granted, however, plays such an integral part in the psyche and dignity of those living without.

And as thousands of organizations and brands across the world come together to fight the spread of homelessness, The Right to Shower is joining in. The brand-new beauty brand has chosen to donate 100% of its proceeds to provide daily showers for people living on the streets, and this is just the beginning.

Access to a daily shower is a basic right, and The Right to Shower gets that.

"We believe no one should be denied access to cleanliness," the brand's website reads. "Free showers should be made accessible to those living on the streets — because one shower can contribute to improving health & well-being and restoring one’s dignity in their community."

It's because of that belief that the soap company has chosen to donate 100% of its proceeds to homeless communities across the country. Its mission began in California and continues to expand.

That's right, every single dollar spent goes toward creating mobile shower services for those living on the streets. In conjunction with shower trailer company Lava Mae, The Right to Shower has already been able to bathe hundreds of less fortunate men and women and deliver back a sense of dignity that many of them have lost.

Additionally, its Instagram page chronicles the many lives it touches, such as people like James.

"This is James. He doesn’t have a fixed address, but he’s a key member of his community. We’re proud to help people like James experience the transformative effects of a daily shower. We think that time in the shower is invaluable for getting people to feel more like themselves."

The smell-good, do-good products were also made with the environment in mind.

Every single soap is made with natural cleansers, recycled packaging, and organic ingredients. The Right to Shower also included third-party certifications for ingredient sustainability and cruelty-free production.

The work has just begun.

The Right to Shower continues to expand even further across the country in hopes of eventually being able to provide showers for the hundreds of thousands of men and women affected by homelessness. They rely heavily on tireless volunteers who continue to push the mission forward.
