Reese Witherspoon's Draper James launched to much success in sizes 0-14, but after three years, Witherspoon is answering public demand and expanding to plus sizes.
The actress/designer teamed with Eloquii on a limited edition 30-piece spring capsule collection called Draper James x Eloquii, which goes from size 12 to 28. Full of versatile dresses, statement jumpsuits, and flirty skirts, the line debuted in early March and pieces immediately began selling out.
It always piques my interest when a non-plus-size designer curates a collection for plus-size women, so naturally, I had to give the collection a try and see if it lived up the hype!
First up is this Parrot Print Jumpsuit ($145), a standout star of the collection!
The print is beautiful and the overall attention to
detail on the garment is eye-catching. This is by far my favorite piece from
the collection.
Fit is always my number one priority: No matter how cute
something is, if it doesn’t fit, we must acquit. I am wearing a size 18, and even
fully zipped there was still plenty of comfort and room!
One of my favorite features is the tie-waist belt, which is perfect for adjusting to your comfort level.
This tie-sleeve dress was unfortunately one of the first items to sell out!
I was so excited to give this a try because I love when designers include pieces with stripes in plus-size collections. It helps dispel the myth that curvy girls don’t look good in stripes — because WE DO!
I was infinitely more pleased with this Gingham Skirt ($99) and Cold Shoulder Button-Down ($75).

How adorable is this skirt?! Fun, flirty, and brunch-ready.
The print is definitely statement-making, but the best part about the skirt? POCKETS!!! I love a garment that includes built-in lipstick holders. After all, that’s what pockets are really made for…duh!
This Parrot Embellished Dress ($225) literally speaks for itself. However, I must admit, I was very skeptical at first.
I have large breasts (if I must remind you again), so I worried that my boobs would hang to the floor like elephant ears due to lack of support.
Oh, was I WRONG! Not only were my breasts supported, the fit was contoured enough to support me going braless. Yes, girl, BRALESS!
For my final look, I paired Scallop A-Line Skirt ($95) with the Button-Down Shell Top ($65). The print is very pretty and spring-like and the shoulder ties are a cute finish.

The fit of the shirt is very comfortable. However, there is no stretch. I’m wearing a size 18, so be sure to get your true size.
I really didn't think this skirt would fit properly.
I thought to myself that denim is already a difficult material when it comes to plus sizes, and so there was no way a denim button front skirt would be flattering on my body.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
The only cons in Draper James x Eloquii's corner is that the price point is higher, with no one item selling under $55. Thankfully, the quality is very good but still. The other con is the lack of larger plus-size models on the website; they're consistently size 14-16. Let's see more representation!
Still, if you want to invest in some new spring/summer pieces that will last and last, Draper James x Eloquii is definitely Revelist approved.
