Remember a time when posting a heavily filtered pic on Instagram was so obvious? (Lo-Fi, we're looking at you!) But thanks to digital advances, it's not so easy to catch an altered image on the 'gram these days. 

Brought to our attention by Cosmopolitan Australia, UK vlogger Amelia G. shows viewers just how powerful Photoshopping apps can be — and what they can do to our self image.  

Photoshopping apps allow users to realistically tweak images to the point where it's difficult to tell what's real and what's fake. In her recent video, Amelia shows how quick and easy it is to alter yourself.

In a YouTube video titled, "The TRUTH Behind 'The Perfect,'" Amelia edits a bikini shot of herself using an app called FaceTune.

Khloe Kardashian is a fan of this app. 

With just a few simple swipes, Amelia slims her waist, thighs, and makes her chest larger in a matter of seconds.

The end result is frighteningly convincing.

“We are bombarded with a LOT of images online, and most of the time those images are pretty damn perfect," Amelia says in the video. "It can be so difficult, even as an intelligent, 27-year-old woman who works in social media, not to let those images affect you.”

But staying true to her #JustAsIAm body positivity campaign, Amelia says that she prefers the "before" shot.
