Everyone needs good basics, no matter their size. But finding a casual T-shirt or the perfect tank to layer underneath is not as easy as it seems for some people. Universal Standard, however, is seeking to change that with its new line, Foundation.
The brand's size chart – which generally focuses on the plus and curve market — already boasts a wide range of sizes, from US 6 through 32. But now it's extending the range in both directions, which is another major step for inclusivity.
This isn't its only inclusive innovation recently, either. A few months back, the brand also announced a "See It In Your Size" feature on the site, which lets shoppers see how certain items would look on their specific body type — something I think we all have been wanting and needing for far too long.
"This is the most powerful photo I have ever seen of myself and I couldn't be more proud," Steward said of the shoot.
Commenters felt overjoyed seeing a body that looks like their own, or a body that's outside the norm of the vast majority of fashion campaigns.
