Last week, Bella Thorne posted a lengthy Instagram caption to call out magazines for airbrushing her photos.

"I specifically asked for no re touching on this photo," she passionately wrote, referring to her recent GQ Mexico shoot. "I'm here to tell you that's right I'm not FUCKING PERFECT."

Immediately, the internet erupted with praise.

Fans applauded Thorne for always staying true to her body positivity — until they realized Thorne had added a racist one-liner to end her speech.

Twitter was instantly horrified by Throne's racist remark.

Fans felt the "fence " comment was a dig at GQ Mexico.

Upon noticing the backlash, Thorne quickly posted a tweet that celebrated her Latina heritage.

But Twitter wasn't here for Thorne's efforts to make amends with her Latinx followers.

Some fans felt the internet was overreacting.

But even if she's "Latina and proud," Thorne's zingy "fence" comment was still insensitive and unnecessary.
