2017 was a messy year for the famous and non-famous alike — trust.

But some celebrities *really* burnt this year to a crisp.

Here are 17 celebrities who fucked up royally in 2017:

Taylor Swift

For most of 2017, Swift taunted her inevitable "comeback."

She kept teasing that she was "reinventing" herself with her new album — but when "Look What You Made Me Do" finally dropped in August, it was clear that she *still* hadn't given up her professional victim act

Her so-called "comeback" didn't make people switch to Team Swift; it proved that she's just as self-victimizing, petty, and self-serving as everyone had thought.

Lena Dunham

In June, Dunham faced the internet's wrath after she gave up her dog, Lamby (and then promptly showed off her two new poodles on Instagram).

But the Lamby outrage was *nothing *compared to the backlash she received for publicly defending Murray Miller, a "Girls" producer who was accused of sexual assault.

"While our first instinct is to listen to every woman’s story, our insider knowledge of Murray’s situation makes us confident that sadly this accusation is one of the 3% of assault cases that are misreported every year,” Dunham insisted in a joint statement with her co-showrunner, Jenni Konner. “We stand by Murray and this is all we’ll be saying about this issue."

Rob Kardashian

Fed up with Blac Chyna's alleged infidelity, Kardashian decided to post revenge porn of his ex-fiancée across his Twitter and Instagram feeds — exposing her naked body to his millions of followers.

Instagram quickly removed Kardashian's account (along with the photos), but the screenshots lived on, prompting Chyna to take legal action against Kardashian.

The real question is: What *hasn't* the Twitter-happy Trump done to fuck up 2017?

Over the course of only TWO DAYS in August, Trump placed blame on "both sides" of the Charlottesville protests, defended the "culture" represented by Confederate statues that the public wanted to remove, and responded to a terror attack in Barcelona by tweeting out a false story about General Pershing murdering 49 Filipino prisoners of war by shooting them with bullets dipped in pig's blood.

Given the damage he can cause in a matter of seconds (thanks a lot, Twitter), Trump will likely continue royally fucking up well into the new year.

Literally one day after Kardashian announced the creation of her own beauty line, she was dragged to hell for wearing blackface in the promotional photos.

But that was only *one* of Kardashian's fuck ups in 2017: She also defended Jeffree Star's past uses of racial slurs, stole countless styles from Black women, and brutally slut-shamed a woman she didn't know on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."

Two words: Pepsi commercial.

In April, Jenner starred in a tone-deaf advertisement for Pepsi that mocked the Black Lives Matter movement. The public demanded an apology, but Jenner actually worsened the situation by refusing to acknowledge any wrongdoing on her end.

Perez Hilton

After rumors surfaced that Kylie Jenner was pregnant, Hilton felt like it was his place to comment on the situation. While discussing the rumored pregnancy in a video, Hilton slammed Jenner's mother, Kris, for not forcing her to "get an abortion."

"Um, I love life, I love babies [but] if I were Kris Jenner, I would tell that girl to get an abortion," Hilton noted, shocking viewers with his inappropriate statement.

That same month, Hilton also wronged Bella Thorne by tagging her exes on a photo of her body, setting her up for brutal slut shaming.

First, Perry inappropriately grabbed a teenager's butt on the red carpet (which completely shook him up). Then, she used a plus-size woman to make a mean-spirited fat joke in her "Swish Swish" music video.

2017 was not Perry's year.

Ja Rule was one of the people behind Fyre Festival — a music festival that turned into a millennial nightmare.

Concert-goers had paid tens of thousands of dollars for tickets, only to be left stranded in the Caribbean with no food, no shelter, and no performances.

Ja Rule claimed he was "heartbroken" by the fiasco, but scorned attendees weren't exactly quick to forgive him for the mishap.

Dylan Sprouse

In August, Twitter deemed Sprouse "canceled" for cheating on his long-term girlfriend, Dayna Frazer.

"How the fuck could Dylan Sprouse cheat on Dayna," the internet blasted him. "Dylan Sprouse is canceled."

Sprouse ultimately made matters worse by posting a wordy (and self-praising) response on Twitter, which left fans even more confused and distrusting of Sprouse than they were before.

In June, Jenner and her sister released a line of "vintage" T-shirts that managed to disrespect revered musical icons *and* appropriate Black culture in one sweep.

Jenner was called out by Biggie's mom for her frequent cultural appropriations — but that didn't stop her from ripping off Asian, Black, and Chola cultures throughout the year.

Clearly, 2017 was a lesson not learned.

Trey Songz

In January, Songz allegedly used sexual intimidation to get Keke Palmer to appear in his music video.

According to Palmer, Songz secretly filmed her while she was drunk and then put her in his video without her permission.

“This is preposterous. How am I in this video Trey?" Palmer blasted him on Instagram. "After you found me in a closet HIDING because I was so afraid of anymore conflict."

Bieber's smooth delivery helped make the remix of "Despacito" the song of the year.

However, Biebs lost major points when the Spanish-speaking community discovered he had zero clue what he was singing.

It was bad enough that he didn't bother to learn any of the Spanish lyrics besides "des-pa-cito." But adding insult to injury, Bieber revealed he'd rather throw around words like "burrito" and "Dorito" instead of just taking the time to learn the lines. The disrespect...

DeMario Jackson

In June, ABC announced filming for "Bachelor in Paradise" had been stalled because Jackson had allegedly sexually assaulted a castmate on set.

According to a field producer, Jackson made sexual advances toward Corinne Olympios even though she was extremely intoxicated and had no ability to consent.

"There was hugging and kissing and touching, but before long, she seemed to go limp and was sliding under water," the crew member recounted in a detailed statement. "Demario kept trying to hold her up and at the same time he appeared to be having intercourse with her. After he finished – which only lasted a few seconds – he lifted her out of the water and laid her on the cement, where he proceeded to have oral sex with her. She appeared to be unconscious."

Jackson denied any foul play, but fans simply couldn't ignore the damning statements against him.

The Chainsmokers

In September, The Chainsmokers paid a visit to China, where they proceeded to make racist jokes about Asians while chatting with an Asian journalist.

Band member Alex Pall made an insensitive comment about the age-old stereotype that all Asians eat dogs, but fans did *not* think the "joke" was funny.

They dragged the duo on Twitter for mocking Chinese culture (while in China, no less).

Tyrese still hadn't recovered from the time he suggested Amber Rose "asked" for sexual harassment because she gives off an "energy" — but that didn't stop him from giving sexist, slut-shaming "advice" to single women in a video for BET.

"I’m gonna tell you all right now, and this might be harsh — sluts, skeezers, hoes, tramps and overly aggressive promiscuous women, they are never without a man because they don’t have no standards," Tyrese proclaimed in April. "They ready to have sex with any and everything that want to have sex with them."

"However, it comes with a cost," he continued. "You gonna put a lot of miles on yourself down there, come on."

In response to his appalling statements, Twitter let out a collective, "STFU."

A shit ton of white men

In 2017, sexual harassers were taken down in a clean sweep: Harvey Weinstein. Kevin Spacey. Mario Batali. Matt Lauer. Ed Westwick. Danny Masterson. The list is seemingly endless.

To be sure, these men royally fucked up for years prior to 2017 — but 2017 was the year the public decided enough was enough.

Sexual assault is one hell of an inexcusable fuck up, and there is no place for that in the years to come.
