The best part of Halloween is the costumes, obviously, and getting to see famous celebrities dress up in their creative looks is icing on the cake.

It's basically law that famous families craft a group costume — and these genius 15 celeb families totally nailed it. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, along with their two kids, are always coming up with some of the most creative costumes, but the Kardashians also know exactly what to wear during the spooky season.

Halloween is coming up, and it's time to start preparing and thinking of an outfit for every member of the family. These 15 famous families could inspire your next group look.

In 2017, Kourtney Kardashian and her three kids dressed as Power Rangers.

Kardashian shared this throwback after her kids declined to do a group costume in Halloween 2018. Though she did manage to wrangle her oldest, Mason, into dressing up as Dr. Evil from Austin Powers while Kardashian dressed as one of the flirty twins. But in 2017, the whole gang got together to wear these adorably cool ensembles.

It came as no surprise when Kylie Jenner dressed up as a butterfly with her daughter, Stormi.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott always reference butterflies when talking about their daughter, Stormi. So obviously, the little one had to dress up as a butterfly for her first Halloween. Jenner had multiple costumes in 2018, including dressing as a Victoria's Secret Angel with her sisters.

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka outdo themselves every year, but a highlight was 2016's old Hollywood stars.

Burtka and Harris' twins, Harper and Gideon, look adorable as a young Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. Plus, the twins' dads look utterly hilarious in Charlie Chaplin and Groucho Marx looks. Other incredible looks pulled off by this iconic Halloween family were Peter Pan characters and American Horror Story: Freak Show characters.

No Barbie and Ken costume could beat Beyoncé, Jay Z, and Blue Ivy's in 2016.

This family looked like the coolest Barbie and Ken trio of all time. Beyoncé wore a fluffy pink coat and Barbie's iconic high ponytail, and Blue Ivy was a pop star Barbie holding a microphone. Jay Z looked classy as Ken in a black and silver tuxedo.

Pink and her family wore pirate costumes inspired by characters from Disney's The Descendants.

In 2017, Pink captioned this family photo, "Happy Halloween from the crazy people #piratelife." But fans were quick to point out that her daughter Willow looked just like Freddie, while Pink resembled Mal from The Descendants. Pink's youngest, Jameson, wore traditional pirate garb in 2017 and again with his rock-star mom in 2018.

Power Rangers are clearly a popular costume, because Fergie and her son, Axl, dressed as them in 2018.

Fergie looked like a glam Power Ranger holding a Balenciaga bag. The artist wrote, "My pink Power Ranger likes shopping with her angular Balenciaga bag and @fergiefootwear all leather booties." But her 6-year-old son Axl looks as tough as ever in his red suit, holding a plastic sword.

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake always make their family go all out during Halloween.

In 2018, the trio dressed as characters from The Lego Batman Movie in full mascot gear. Biel dressed as Lego Harley Quinn, Timberlake was Lego Robin, and their son Silas was Lego Batman. In past years, the family has dressed as Toy Story characters and the characters from Trolls, a movie that featured Timberlake's voice.

Jessica Simpson didn't hold back when she dressed as Willie Nelson in 2017.

Complete with a beard and a guitar, Simpson rocked it as the country music icon. Simpson's husband Eric Johnson matched her look dressed as another country music great, Waylon Jennings. Their kids were a little off-brand, but still looked cute as ever as Belle and a cowboy.

Before Hilary Duff had a second child and new fiancé, it was just her and her son, Luca, for Halloween 2017.

The duo dressed as a bunny and a Lego character, and Duff thought it sounded like the start of a cheesy joke. "A Lego and a bunny go to a party," the actor wrote in her caption. Now there are two more people in their family that can be added to a group costume, so we'll keep our eyes peeled for their look this year.

Tamera Mowry and her family also love to go all out when it comes to Halloween costumes.

In 2018, Mowry and her daughter, Ariah, dressed as a mom and baby ladybug to go trick-or-treating. Mowry's husband, Adam Housley, and their son, Aden, went a scarier route and dressed up as a dinosaur and a caveman this year. In the past, the family has also gone as Superwoman and Supergirl and a race car driver and his pit crew.

Snooki is a mom to three kids now, but in 2018, she and her two kids went as superheroes.

This year there's a baby to be added into the group costume mix. Last year, the former Jersey Shore star and her daughter, Giovanna, and son, Lorenzo, went as dark Spider-Man, Superwoman, and Supergirl. Apparently the reality star's husband lost his costume, so he stood in as the photographer instead.

"HAPPY HALLOWEEN! (Jionni was black panther but we lost his costume)," Snooki wrote.

The Kardashian-Jenner sisters showed off their modeling skills as Victoria's Secret Angels.

All five of the leading women strutted their stuff in massive, legitimate VS wings. Kendall Jenner, of course, already walked the runway, but wearing the lingerie and wings was a dream come true for her sisters.

Kim Kardashian wrote in her 2018 Halloween post, "Thank you @VictoriasSecret for sending us actual runway looks and real wings to borrow for the night!!! OMG a dream come true! Got to be a Victoria's Secret Angel for the night! And Kendall got good practice lol."

Ciara and her family stunned as the Wakanda tribe from Black Panther.

In 2018, Ciara, her husband, Russell Wilson, and their two kids dressed up as Black Panther characters. The '00s singer played Nakia, Lupita Nyong'o's character, and wore her hair in adorable bantu knots. Wilson and Future dressed up as the titular character, and the youngest of the bunch, Sienna, was a fierce Wakandan warrior.

Chrissy Teigen had the best family costume in 2017. She, John Legend, and little Luna dressed as Carmen Miranda, Groucho Marx, and a pineapple.

John Legend looked unmistakable from the old Hollywood comedian, and Chrissy Teigen is essentially Carmen Miranda personified. They couldn't leave out their adorable daughter, Luna, so a pineapple costume was the perfect fit. If the 1947 film Copacabana ever needed a remake, they'd be the perfect cast.

Reese Witherspoon's oldest children didn't quite get into the holiday spirit, but she, her husband, and their youngest son all dressed as ghoulish vampires.

In 2018, Witherspoon's daughter, Ava Phillippe, was missing from the family Halloween portrait and her teen son, Deacon, was uninterested in the group costume. That makes sense considering they are well into their teenage years, and Ava was off to college. Luckily, the youngest, Tennessee Toth, and her husband, Jim Toth, were down for the spooky looks.
