On Sunday, October 1, thousands of concert-goers ran for their lives as a gunman went on a shooting rampage at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The shooter, who was later identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, opened fire from the window of his 32nd-floor hotel room at the nearby Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
In just a few minutes, Paddock fatally shot 50 victims and injured over 500 people as they frantically made their way through the massive crowd. As of October 2 at 12:30 EST, the death toll had risen to 58.
