Riverdale fans have been waiting to learn the identity of Edgar Evernever for the entirety of season three. And now that moment has finally come. Now when you think of the man who has lured Polly and Alice Cooper to "The Farm," you know who's face to imagine: Chad Michael Murray's.

Yes, the Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill and A Cinderella Story will be playing the charming, enigmatic cult leader who runs "The Farm," where Betty's sister and mother now spend most of their time. And suddenly, I totally understand why so many women have joined the cult.

"The Farm" on Riverdale has played a big role in season three, although we still don't know too much about it.

The exact details surrounding the Farm are still relatively unknown. We know that Polly moved there in season two to give birth to her twins Juniper and Dagwood. Betty accuses her of joining a cult, but Polly denies it.

After Hal Cooper is arrested for murdering people around town, Alice has a hard time coming to terms. Polly tells her she knows someone at the Farm who can help her.

Soon, Alice joins the cult and begins pushing its beliefs on Betty. "Edgar has done nothing but help me," Alice tells Betty at the beginning of season three. "He's encouraged me to embrace everything that I was ashamed of and become the best version of myself."

Alice begins to trust the leader of the Farm, Edgar Evernever, more than she trusts her own daughter.

In a roundtable interview at New York Comic Con, Mädchen Amick, who plays Alice, called Edgar a "charismatic cult leader" and said that because Alice "was so vulnerable and such an easy target that she just went all in to the cult."

And while we've met his creepy daughter Evelyn Evernever, Edgar has yet to show his face.

Polly told Betty at the beginning of season three that "there are certain levels that you need to attain before meeting Edgar." They really have been playing up his part.

And now we finally know who the mysterious man behind the Farm is: Chad Michael Murray.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Murray will show his face as Edgar Evernever later this season and is expected to be a recurring character.

Edgar's character description calls him "enigmatic," "charming," and "handsome," making him the perfect cult leader.

"As the enigmatic leader of the cult-like Farm, Edgar arrives in Riverdale to spread his teachings and heal the ravaged soul of this once wholesome town. Edgar is a charming, handsome guru, but is he hiding a more sinister agenda?" the description reads.

For those who don't know Murray, he was kind of a big deal back in the early 2000s.

Murray played Lucas Scott on One Tree Hill many moons ago, as well as the love interest of Hilary Duff in A Cinderella Story and Lindsay Lohan in Freaky Friday. Like I said, he was kind of a BIG DEAL.

Ironically, he's known most for One Tree Hill, which also aired on the CW.

The casting is very on point for Riverdale, which features many adult actors who first became famous for playing iconic teen roles (i.e., Luke Perry, Skeet Ulrich, Mädchen Amick, and Molly Ringwald).

And now, suddenly, it makes so much sense why Alice and Polly would be brainwashed by the Farm.

I, too, would join a cult if Murray was the leader. Whatever kind of sinister plot Mr. Evernever has planned, I'd follow in a heartbeat.

It also makes sense that everyone who's part of the Farm is a woman.

"Now I understand why all the women are joining the Farm," one person wrote on Twitter regarding Murray's casting.

Most people are 100% here for Murray's casting as Edgar Evernever.

In fact, many people are tweeting to him asking if they can join the cult. Honestly, I can't say that I blame them.

Others are conflicted, as they were picturing someone much older as Mr. Evernever.

"So I imagine Edgar Evernever as a creepy old man for months, and then Riverdale goes and casts Chad Michael Murray because it's Riverdale," one person said on Twitter.

It is a bit odd, considering he has a daughter (Evelyn) who is the same age as Betty and the gang.

Murray himself is only 37 years old. That would mean he had a child when he was pretty young. But it is Riverdale, and much stranger things have happened, so I wouldn't think too much about it.

Anyway, Edgar Evernever is definitely shaping up to be my new favorite character.

Hopefully we'll get to meet him very soon and he'll stick around longer than most characters in Riverdale. We'll just have to wait and see.
