Demi Lovato had a drug overdose in July, and recently left rehab. Lovato made it out in time to vote in the midterm elections.

Unfortunately, while Lovato was in rehabilitation, her backup dancer at the time, Dani Vatale, decided to go to the press about the situation.

After being accused of providing drugs to Lovato, Vitale shared a lengthy Instagram post.

"I have never TOUCHED nor even SEEN a drug in my entire life. I DO NOT DO DRUGS, nor would I ever encourage, or supply them to anyone I love," Vitale wrote in the post. "People that I thought loved me were no where to be found or heard from, companies stopped replying [to] emails and I was alone."

When a fan said it was unfair to fire Vitale, Lovato set the record straight in the comments.

"You have no idea what you're talking about," Lovato wrote. "True friends don't do interviews about you when you OD."

But here's the kicker, according to People, Lovato isn't talking about Dani Vitale, as most people believed.

People magazine speculated that the Dani referred to in the comments is Danielle Martin — Lovato's former fitness trainer.

“I lost my job for speaking up for her, to be honest,” Martin told Radar Online. “Pretty sad. I did nothing but empower her. Nothing bad to say. The people around her I’m sure were happy to run to her. They told her I was taking the situation and making it all about me. I’d never do that. Not ever. I was standing up for her. That’s all.”

Regardless of which Dani it is, we just hope Lovato is doing well.
