This week, the New York Post unearthed a shocking new plastic surgery trend: "designer nipples."
The phrase was coined by New York City-based surgeon Dr. Norman Rowe, who uses Botox fillers to give patients nipples like their favorite celebrities.
("Kendall Jenner nipples" is a top request.)
Dr. Rowe injects fillers into areola, and the end result is perkier, more prominent nipples that last up to two years.
Dr. Rowe credits the sheer clothing trend for the uptick in cosmetic nipple requests.
"We see celebrities wearing the sheer tops and the sheer dresses which exposes their nipple," Dr. Rowe told the New York Post in a video interview. "Our patients, they see these celebrities wearing these sheer dresses, and they would like emulate and mimic that type of clothing, and they want their nipples and the areola to be presentable."
One of Dr. Rowe's patients explained she *wants* to dress like Jenner, but she just "doesn't have the nipples."
"My nipples never get hard," the patient lamented. "I think it would be really cool to just have protruding nipples all the time."
The "designer nipples" procedure starts at $700.
"It begins at $700 and goes up from there depending on if they want to change the areola, larger or smaller," Dr. Rowe noted. "Change the nipple, larger or smaller. Change the color of the areola, darker or even later."
Just like designer clothing, designer nipples don't come cheap.
Guess I'll just have to stick with my off-brand nips for now, thnx.
