Don't worry, this post has only one egg pun in it. Over the weekend the internet decided it couldn't stand for Kylie Jenner having the most-liked photo on Instagram, so the internet decided to do something about it. Roughly 29 million users got together to like a photo of an egg to dethrone Jenner's photo, which held the record with 18 million likes.

Wouldn't it be great to see 29 million people come together to rally around ending sexism, racism, really any bigotry at all, but I guess that's asking too much. See Jenner's response to the incident below.

Kylie Jenner — heard of her?

The youngest sister in the Kardashian-Jenner clan certainly got a boost in fame from appearing on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but it was really social media that made Jenner a star.

A child of the social media age...

Jenner would be nowhere without her massive rabid following of Gen-Z'ers and curious millennials. Without her 123 million followers, who would have cared about another celebrity makeup line?

Her influence.

Remember when Jenner caused Snapchat's stock to plummet, causing the app to lose $1.3 billion in a single day? Who could forget it. You don't have to like Jenner to acknowledge that she is kind of a leader. Must be why they call them "followers" on social media.

"Sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me... ugh this is so sad," she tweeted in 2018. "Still love you tho snap ... my first love."

A rabid fanbase.

After all, it's been well-documented that Kylie Cosmetics has the same manufacturer as ColourPop. The only difference is KC is a lot pricier. ColourPop has a measly 6.9 million followers by comparison.

So what's so special about Jenner?

"With each of the brands, it's going to be a little different how we leverage the resources and the infrastructure," John Nelson, co-founder of ColourPop explained to Refinery29 in 2016. "Everyone is coming up with their own formulas and their own exclusive products."

Ultimately, one can only assume that people follow Jenner and buy her products because they just like her.

A record breaker.

With over 18 million likes, Jenner's photo of her with baby Stormi held the record for most-liked photo on Instagram.

But what do people like more than Jenner?

Eggs apparently. Or maybe it's needlessly creating a campaign to make young women fail for absolutely no reason other than not liking successful young women?

An egg-cellent plan for people bored on the internet.

An account called world_record_egg begged people to like its photo so it could beat out Jenner's for most liked on the app.

"Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this," the account stated.

Well, guess what, kids?

The egg won with 29 million likes as of this morning.

God bless egg-merica. The egg that I love. SING IT! This is almost as dumb as all those people who donated millions on Kickstarter to fund Donald Trump's racist border wall. No — just kidding — nothing can hold a candle to that stupidity.

Jenner fires back.

Jenner responded by posting a meme of her cracking an egg on the hot sidewalk. At least she had a sense of humor about it all.

People naturally took this opportunity to make fun of Jenner because... the internet.

"That's a self-made egg who has built an empire with absolutely no support from the residual fame of its former father or mentality deficient siblings."

In the end, who really cares about any of this anyway? Although, we could all use a little frivolous fun.
