Kanye West revealed that he is stepping away from politics after feeling like he was used to spread messages he doesn't believe in. After a flop album and after new Yeezys didn't sell out in minutes like they typically do, many wondered if West was genuine or if he thought his Trump association was hurting his pockets.

Either way, the more people who stop supporting an administration who does not support all Americans, the better.

Kanye West decided to take a step away from politics. Yes, this Kanye West.

The announcement came after Republican Candace Owens, whose job is unclear, launched a logo and "movement" called Blexit. Blexit is a reference to Brexit, Britain leaving the European Union, and is the new slogan of the three or four black people who have left the Democratic Party in favor of the GOP.

Owens claimed West made the logo for Blexit. West did not like this.

West says Owens was using his name to promote Blexit, which he does not support.

The artist said he was distancing himself from politics after being used to spread messages he doesn't believe him...

Personally, I believe the point isn't to distance yourself from politics, but rather to support better politics. But hey, at least he isn't the GOP's token anymore.

The timing of this is interesting. Just a few days ago, West's mother-in-law Caitlyn Jenner, who voted for Trump, admitted she was wrong about him in an op-ed for the Washington Post.

Moreover, West's wife Kim Kardashian has been staunchly opposed to Trump and engaging in progressive political movements like gun control and prison reform.

West also donated nearly $75,000 to Chicago's mayoral candidate Amara Enyia, who is a Democrat. I guess Kardashian is rubbing off on West and Jenner.

Who knows how long this stance will last. West changes his mind all the time.

Nevertheless, whatever ends the current hell fire quickest, I'll take it.
