If there's one thing the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us, it's that viruses don't discriminate. No matter occupation, social status, or race, the powerful virus is sweeping all demographics. And as it continues, more and more celebrities are speaking out to inform fans that they've tested positive, and urging those around them to take social distancing seriously. The latest is comedian Kathy Griffin, who just took to social to allege that due to the Trump administration, she is being denied formal testing for the rapidly spreading virus.

See it unfold ahead.

As COVID-19 has continued to spread, comedian Kathy Griffin has been keeping everyone updated on her condition.

Before shelter in place rules were even set into play, Griffin was keeping herself home and monitoring her temperature, something she shared on her Instagram page. "Day one of self imposed, choosing to be proactive in a self imposed #stayathome #coronavirusquarantine," she posted almost a week ago. "Based on information coming out primarily from The horror that is happening with #Covid19 from China to Europe, the consensus seems to be that, lives can be saved when folks are in a position to be able to literally stay in a room or their residence without letting anyone out or anyone in at all."

And while she's been practicing social distancing, the comedian is claiming that she's been experiencing serious symptoms similar to those of COVID-19.

She just posted a photo of herself in what appears to be an emergency room to her social media accounts, and she claims that she's being refused testing. "He’s lying," she said in reference to Donald Trump's claims that the United States have tested more than any other country. "I was sent to the #COVID19 isolation ward room in a major hospital ER from a separate urgent care facility after showing UNBEARABLY PAINFUL symptoms. The hospital couldn’t test me for #coronavirus because of CDC (Pence task force) restrictions."

However, there are of course those who suspect she's not telling the truth.

The notorious jokester and outspoken critic of Donald Trump has been met with some criticism, with some refuting her claims that she's being refused a test, and questioning her whereabouts. "See the little green gauge on the wall?" someone responded to her tweet. "If she had ANY respiratory issues AT ALL, she's be hooked to that. Smh."

But given the times, what we all need is a little compassion.

Whether Griffin's symptoms are as intense as she claims or not, in times like these, kindness is key. "People are saying #kathygriffin "deserves" to be sick because of her hatred of Trump," someone tweeted. "Like that isn't hatred towards her? Underneath the politics, we are all people, man. Have some compassion. Saying anyone 'deserves' an illness is f*cking crazy. Shame on you."

We're hoping that whatever she may have, that she feels better soon.

Griffin lost her mother less than two weeks ago, and we're sending healing and love and light Griffin's way as well as those who've been impacted in any way by the COVID-19 pandemic.
