"Being lazy is not being selective. We work! Hard and giving 100% from us, but you can't say for yourself... and after all you dare to talk like this?!" Croatian model, Faretta wrote on Instagram.

International model Leomie Anderson was not impressed with Kendall either.

"Just a REMINDER. That some of 'THOSE GIRLS' who would do like, 86 shows a season, not 30... 'or whatever the f*** else those girls do' didn't have a luxury to say NO to jobs and be 'super selective about what shows they do' in order to be able to BUILD their CAREERS during non-instagram days, and get 'more power,'" Vlada Rosylakova wrote in a scathing comment.

"RESPECT and THUMBS UP for all the LADIES who went and still are going thru those days of hard WORK, surviving on two hours of sleep in a models apartment, coffee and backstage food."

A model on Twitter pointed out that many models come from humble beginnings, and not just from the United States, but all over the world

Following the backlash, Kendall's representative released this statement to People: “Mid-thought she realized the number of shows some models walk a season is closer to 80. The point was that it’s their path and ‘the more power to them,'” the rep said. “She admires their hard work and dedication. It’s an accomplishment.”
