Multimillionaire Khloé Kardashian is the subject of mom-shaming once again after posting a video of her one-year-old True sitting in a toy Bentley. The reality star didn't stand for the rude comments and put the shamers in their place.
It's no secret that the Kardashian-Jenner family are some of the wealthiest people in the country. Kylie Jenner is one of the youngest self-made billionaires of all time, so it should come as no surprise that the youngest of the bunch would have a few pricey play things.
As the season finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians aired and Khloe's controversy with Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson premiered for all to see, the famous mom kept her spirits up by spending time with family and posting adorable shots with baby True.
So many of Kardashians' posts receive flack for a slew of reasons from Photoshop fails to plastic surgery accusations, but even harmless posts of her daughter are at risk of criticism. Some people claimed that Kardashian spoiled True too much with a toy luxury car, but the 35-year-old did not stand for it.
The first comment shaming Kardashian called out the family for encouraging "worthless materialism."
"Great, another Kardashian in a Bentley," the comment starts off in a judgmental tone. "You guys are so oblivious to how your excessive spending looks to the outside world... you spend this money on worthless materialism. It's so sad."
Never afraid to stand up for herself, Kardashian fired back in response.
Kardashian points out that it's an (albeit pricey) toy Bentley — not a real one. Who's to say what kind of car True will get for her 16th birthday when she can really drive. But, again, how the Kardashians choose to spend their money is ultimately up to them (and for the Kardashians, there are soFAR WORSE things that actually warrant this type of criticism).
Kardashian replied, "ummm you know this is not a real Bentley? it's a toy... no reason to get sad over a baby in a toy car."
The mom-shamer followed up with a response that attempted to explain the original comment.
The next comment to the Kardashian sister focused on self-improvement and taking criticism: "Just figured it's something to be thinking about. You have so much influence and know you've had a positive impact on so many. Always ways we can improve as people, though," the mom-shamer followed up.
Sure, the excessive spending is something to be shocked by, but how they choose to spoil their kids isn't really up to the public.
Then Kardashian went on to explain herself in an even lengthier response.
Kardashian pointed out that while she does spoil True with love and some expensive objects, she also teaches her "values, responsibilities, chores, respect, self-love."
"We all work hard and we are able to spend our money in the way that we choose. I hope that's what comes across to 'the outside world,' to lead with love above anything else," Kardashian finished her reply.
Another commenter shared a condescending message, too.
Kardashian quickly shut down this shaming comment that was under the guise of philanthropy. "Maybe u should donate some of those cars to women who would love to have as much fun as u do with ur baby," the comment reads. Kardashian replied that she doesn't feel the need to "be boastful about" her charitable works.
True isn't the only baby with a luxury toy; Kylie Jenner's daughter, Stormi, has multiple fancy rides too.
Stormi Webster was seen riding around in her toy Lamborghini in Kylie Jenner's most recent vlog on YouTube. The 1-year-old sat in the luxury car as her mom wheeled her around the billionaire's office space. Not only does Stormi have this white Lambo, she was also gifted another cherry red Ferrari and a Louis Vuitton custom Lamborghini. The tot is clearly following in her famous parents' footsteps with their love of luxury cars.
