Uh-oh, it looks like there's drama brewing between Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift yet again

It all started when Swift launched a countdown clock on her website last week, suggesting that something ~major~ is going to go down on April 26. Many fans speculated that she'll likely release the first single from her seventh studio album

Coincidentally (or maybe not-so-coincidentally), two days later, Kardashian and little sister Kylie Jenner announced that they were gearing up to release their fragrance on the exact same day. Swifties quickly interpreted this as a significant shade-throwing moment, and they called on the reality TV stars to pick another day that doesn't interfere with Swift's mystery release date.

In case you missed it, sisters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are working on their next collaboration.

The faces behind KKW Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics are creating their first fragrance together. According to Allure, in recent episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, audiences got a sneak peek at the duo testing out different scents and playing around with a variety of potential packaging and lip-shaped bottle options.

Earlier this week, Kardashian gave an update on Instagram.

She posted one of the photos from the fragrance's campaign, in which her and Jenner are casually lying down together with the lip-shaped bottles in hand.

"Three colorful bottles in nude, pink and red," she wrote. "These lip-shaped fragrances offer notes of red lotus blossoms, liquid amber, and peony." She also mentioned that each bottle will cost $40.

But that didn't last long.

In a surprising turn of events, Kardashian deleted the campaign image from her Insta. Allure reported that Jenner had discussed how much she was looking forward to the collab on her own Instagram Stories.

"No one understands how excited I am for this because I've been such a true fan of Kim's fragrances since the first one she ever dropped," Jenner said. "I'm just obsessed and can't believe I have my own."

So, what gives?

Well, it turns out that Kardashian and Jenner picked a launch date that doesn't sit so well with many Taylor Swift fans (but more on that in a sec).

You may recall that Kardashian and Swift have a longstanding feud that can be traced all the way back to that time Kardashian's husband, Kanye West, crashed Swift's acceptance speech in front of the world at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

Their beef has only worsened in the years since.

Remember when Kim Kardashian called Taylor Swift a "snake" back in 2016? Things haven't exactly been rosy between the two celebrities. In fact, in a piece she wrote for Elle magazine just last month, Swift didn't mince any words when she referred to Kimye as "bullies." I'm guessing they won't be hosting her for dinner anytime soon.

That makes Kardashian's selection of April 26 very, um, interesting.

Why, you ask? Because last week — a full two days before Kardashian and Jenner officially announced their perfume launch — Swift posted a mysterious countdown clock on her website. The date it's currently counting down to? None other than April 26. Coincidence? Well, let's just say that many Swift fans think not.

Some Swifties accused Kardashian of being "petty."

They're arguing that Swift has been dropping hints about TS7 for a while now, so surely picking April 26 wasn't at all accidental. One fan's response to the question of whether the date selection was intentional?

"I hope not, pretty petty if so," they said. "But I would say different fan base and fan base types, so it really wouldn’t matter anyways!"

One person felt that both Kardashian and Jenner were acting like, well, snakes.

When this so-called feud began in 2016, Kardashian said at the time that she wasn't throwing shade at Swift.

"I never publicly talk bad about people," she told Wonderland. "I still don't feel like I have. I'm being honest. I'm a fan. I like her music. There was no shade."

For her part, Kardashian has previously insisted that she's "not petty."

In that same interview, Kardashian explained that some individuals in Swift's inner circle had reached out to voice their concerns about all the drama.

"Girls in her squad hit me up on text," she said. But when she was asked to name names, she simply responded, "I'm not petty."

Alas, the KarJenner duo has since put their fragrance launch on hold.

Kardashian took to social media to explain that some of the bottles "did not pass durability tests while on the assembly line." Apparently her and Jenner didn't want to put their name on a product
"that did not meet the strictest of quality guidelines."

No word yet on the new launch date, but it's safe to say that if this were about the ongoing Kardashian-Swift feud, Team Taylor wins this round.
