Back in April, the internet went crazy over photos of Kim Kardashian frolicking on the beach in Mexico.
The images showed Kardashian with cellulite — a rare sight.
The photos of Kardashian's cellulite (or perhaps aged injections) confirmed that, yes, Kardashian is human with perfectly imperfect skin.
But rather than applaud Kardashian for shamelessly revealing her so-called flaws, the internet took advantage of the opportunity to drag her.
The internet's "commentary" was quite disgusting, as one could imagine.
At first, Kardashian remained utterly unbothered by the criticism.
She played it off with an epic tweet that referred to her dimply booty as "flawless."
But two months later, Kardashian suddenly got defensive.
At first, it seemed like Kardashian was embracing her lumps and bumps — but now she's saying the images were actually edited to make her appear to have more cellulite than she really does.
During her appearance on "The View," Kardashian claimed the paparazzi shots were Photoshopped to make her look “way worse.”
"I saw these awful photos of myself when I was on a trip in Mexico and people were Photoshopping them and sharpening them, and they're the worst photos," Kardashian insisted. "I definitely was not in my best shape. I hadn't worked out in about 12 weeks, I'd had two surgeries on my uterus."
"I was already not feeling like myself and then when people were like sharpening them and making them look way worse."
Kardashian admitted the photos took a toll on her confidence.
The images made her want to "get it together."
"I was like 'OK, I'm going to get it together,'" she continued. "And I started working out with this bodybuilder girl."
While Kardashian's insecurities are valid, fans were extremely disappointed to hear Kardashian freak out over something as normal and natural as cellulite.
Her followers thought it was refreshing to see a celebrity with cellulite — and now she's denying that she has it?
Remember, most humans have cellulite.
It's time to embrace the booty dimples.
Tons of people have cellulite. It's something that should be normalized, not hidden or denied. But unfortunately, it appears Kardashian has succumbed to society's unrealistic body standards.
