A teaser for a new episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" features Kim Kardashian walking back Kanye West's slavery comments. It is the first time she has openly discussed the incident.
West claimed live on TMZ that slavery "was a choice" made by black people, not by imperialists or slave owners. Later, West revealed that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when he made the comments. He even apologized.
Now Kardashian is claiming that West never said those things to begin with. Well, the lie detector test detected that was a lie.
However, E! has deleted the teaser already, after the backlash. Fortunately, there are screenshots of what the network is probably scrambling to "fix."
"I always know what Kanye's intentions are and what he's trying to say," Kardashian said in the confessional. "But I also know that they're gonna write a headline and people are gonna assume that's exactly what you said and what you meant."
"If you listen to what he said, he said: 'Slavery was 400 years, if it's gonna be another 400 years that sounds like a choice to me.' He didn't say slavery is a choice. He was saying if you're still going to be enslaved for another 400 years, then that's some bullshit.
E! deleted the teaser clip. I wonder why?
