Where Leslie Jones goes, laughter follows. But beneath her comic genius, the SNL star deals with the same insecurities and mental health issues as most of us do.

Recently, Jones has been sharing her fitness journey with Twitter followers, documenting her workouts and progress with inspiring videos.

She regularly shares gym selfies and motivational captions about working out, eating right, and staying focused.

The upbeat posts took at turn when Jones wrote that she fears she "might die alone" and feels like she's "doing it for nothing."

"OK back to cardio. But confession I feel like I’m doing it for nothing. I know it's not. I’m healthy and look good but I really feel like 'what’s it all for' if the people you want to notice don’t. I just feel like I might die alone. Sorry that’s pretty heavy today!!" she captioned the mirror selfie.

Jones usually presents herself as a "don't need no man" type of girl, so the post felt especially worrisome.

Fans immediately began sharing their encouraging words.

And many could relate.

Jones followed up with this tweet after a flood of concern.

"Hey!! I want everyone to know I post my real feelings cause I am a real person! And I know I’m not alone. I’m also 50 years old and know that life is life! And some days we are low! I know I’m loved by God! It’s important to respect your feelings as long as you don’t live there!" she tweeted.

Even more of her followers reached out saying they related to her discussion about mental wellness.

That's the exact Leslie we need more of in 2018.
