Newlyweds Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth clearly have a love so strong, it knows no bounds, and this week's turn of events certainly proved it. Over the weekend, Hemsworth was hospitalized with kidney stones — ouch — which explains why Cyrus walked the Grammy Awards red carpet solo.
The 29-year-old Australian film star was still recovering last night and couldn't make it to the Hollywood premiere of his newest film, Isn't It Romantic, in which he stars opposite lead Rebel Wilson as her alarmingly perfect love interest. That didn't stop Cyrus from showing up to support him, though.
In a stunning, tiered Valentino gown, Cyrus walked the red carpet on Hemsworth's behalf to show her support for him and the film's cast and crew. “It’s hard for entertainers to put themselves before the project, but this time it was crucial," she shared on Twitter. "I am proud to represent him and his incredible work. So happy to see him shining in this comedy! He is the funniest person I know, and the world now gets to see the Liam I wake up to every day."
Below, watch Cyrus explain her choice to appear on Hemsworth's behalf.
