Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth broke all of our hearts when they announced they'd be separating after only six months of marriage.

Since breaking things off, the singer has released another single that seemed to reference her ex-husband's partying ways. Plus, she has already started dating Kaitlynn Carter and got a few new tattoos.

Now it seems that Cyrus' latest song, a trio with Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey for the upcoming Charlie's Angels movie, is shading her ex-husband and the nickname he once had for her.

No one can call Miley Cyrus "Angel" — and especially not Liam Hemsworth.

Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, and Lana Del Rey teamed up to create a new song, "Don't Call Me Angel," for the upcoming Charlie's Angels remake. The empowering bop is all about being a strong, fierce woman who doesn't need a man calling her "Angel." The music video and single dropped on September 13, and the movie will premiere November 15.

The actor has shared multiple photos in the past, while the exes were still together, that suggest "Angel" was a nickname that Hemsworth had for Cyrus.

"My little angel and I," Hemsworth captioned this post from July 2017. The couple were as happy as ever at this point and were married a year and a half later. Unfortunately, the two decided to separate in August after less than a year of being married, and Hemsworth officially filed for divorce shortly after.

After Cyrus' new song dropped, many fans went back to these old photos and thought the title of the Charlie's Angels' song seemed suspicious.

Another post wished his "Angel" a happy birthday.

The song would obviously have the word "Angel" in it because of the context of the movie it's associated with, but the timing does make us think. "Happiest birthday to my favorite little angel," Hemsworth captioned this 2016 birthday post to Cyrus. Clearly that nickname was important to the two of them, and this song would have an extra symbolic reason to the artist.

Cyrus even called out a fan, lovingly, who called her "Angel" on Twitter.

Cyrus is definitely no "Angel" and isn't afraid to speak her mind or be true to herself. The song is all about being fierce and unapologetic about your strength, so the fact that Hemsworth's nickname for her is a part of it is probably just coincidental.

One fan posted a throwback from Cyrus' "Can't Be Tamed" music video, which features a pair of wings similar to the "Don't Call Me Angel" video. They wrote, "An angel since day 1 @MileyCyrus," and she replied, "Don’t call me Angel."

Watch the trio's music video directed by Ariana Grande's regular partner Hannah Lux Davis.

Cyrus is in the boxing ring with a tied-up man (who looks slightly like Liam Hemsworth IMO) and croons about how she demands respect.

All three of the boss ladies are the secret agents from the Townsend Agency, but in the movie, the characters will be played by Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska. Elizabeth Banks is directing the film and stars as the first woman Bosley.
