It comes as no surprise that Rihanna (pronounced Ree-ann-uh) tops Forbes' richest self-made women list.

Not only is her Fenty makeup line one of the top performers in the lucrative beauty industry, but now she is a powerhouse in fashion as well. Even though she hasn't released any music in the past three years, Forbes still named her the richest self-made female musician.

She beat out music icons Madonna, Celine Dion, and even Beyoncé, mostly due to the wildly successful beauty and fashion empire she has created for herself.

Rihanna is worth $600 million, making her the richest self-made woman in music.

Rihanna's hit 2016 song "Work" has become her anthem of the last two years. "All @rihanna's work, work, work, work, work has resulted in a $600 million fortune," Forbes tweeted. She runs three multimillion-dollar beauty and fashion companies and has reportedly been working on new music set to release later this year. Not to mention, she is the first black woman to partner with LVMH, the world's biggest luxury goods and fashion company.

Rihanna is from the small island of Barbados and truly worked her way to multimillionaire status.

In one year Rihanna jumped from a net worth of $210 million to $600 million thanks to the generation of $570 million from Fenty Beauty in only 15 months. One Rih-Rih fan shared this news about the artist and tweeted, "@rihanna IS self-made. She did this!"

When Kylie Jenner was listed as a "self-made" woman, many challenged that title due to the star's wealthy upbringing and famous family. Despite what claims were made about the Jenner beauty mogul, the same cannot be said for Rihanna.

Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, worked her way to stardom in the music industry after being discovered by Jay-Z as a teenager, and then earned the majority of her wealth through her innovative beauty line.

At only 31 years old, the artist has created an empire.

Branching out from the music industry, Rihanna revolutionized the makeup industry. When she released her expansive foundation, fans went wild and the beauty industry was forever changed. Her diverse shade range opened up eyes to the lack of inclusivity in the industry. One fan shared on Twitter her reverence for the artist and entrepreneur, "I am so proud of Rihanna. She’s a WHOLE empire and she's only 31."

She has expressed her desire to transform the fashion and lifestyle industry in the same way that she revolutionized the beauty industry.

Rihanna teamed up with billionaire and owner of LVMH fashion house Bernard Arnault. Rihanna shared to Twitter, "Big day for the culture. thank you Mr. Arnault for believing in this little girl from the left side of an island, and for giving me the opportunity to grow with you at @LVMH."

Fenty Beauty has maintained its desire for inclusivity in the beauty industry.

Products that normally were created as "one shade fits all," such as bronzer, were redeveloped by Rihanna's beauty brand to keep up with her inclusivity efforts. Unfortunately, sometimes these products were disappointing to even some of her most loyal fans.

"Bronzer isn’t one shade fits all! It took @rihanna over 2 years to develop the perfect bronzer that brings out the right pigments for a natural warmth and glow on all skin tones! #SUNSTALKRBRONZER comes in 8 shades of a smooth soft-matte powder formula that adds instant warmth," the Fenty Beauty account shared on Twitter.

Another one of her lucrative companies is her body-positive lingerie line Savage X Fenty.

Plus-size blogger Maggie Ashcroft raved about Fenty's sexy lingerie line on its YouTube. The entrepreneur co-owns the lingerie line with TechStyle Fashion Group. The lingerie works on many body types and is beloved by many, despite a few criticisms.

Big props, RiRi. Keep getting that money.

Rihanna won't stop putting in work. If her Fenty empire wasn't already enough, her music career is about to be in the spotlight again. Reportedly Rihanna is hard at work on a super-secret album that she's recording on a private island that she may have rented. Casual @badgalriri things.
