Rihanna got personal with Interview magazine in an interview with her friend and Ocean's 8 costar Sarah Paulson. While she is at the height of career success — she was recently named the richest woman in music — she revealed she's ready for another path: motherhood.

Rihanna has wildly successful lingerie, beauty, and ready-to-wear fashion lines, and not to mention new music supposedly on the way, but now she wants to be a mother "more than anything."

The powerful career woman that Rihanna is could obviously have it all and continue to be the boss that she is with a baby in tow.

Rihanna revealed a different side to herself — a shy one.

Rihanna is most notably known as @badgalriri, a boss who doesn't take sass from anyone. She is a powerful career woman and an icon in music, fashion, beauty, and film. In an interview with Interview magazine, however, she revealed that, in reality, she is a little bit shy and keeps her personal life personal.

"There’s more to the world’s richest female musician than meets the eye. Our summer cover star takes off her mask to reveal (swipe) @badgalriri, the shy gal. [link] in bio," the magazine shared to its Instagram.

Sarah Paulson was in Ocean's 8 with Rihanna and shared how the actors felt having her on set.

Paulson said that when she first met Rihanna, she discovered how shy the music icon really was. The powerful ensemble left everyone feeling a little starstruck. Paulson shared that, "Every single person on the set of Ocean’s 8 was a huge superstar, and I was this nerd ball who was on TV. I felt way out of my league."

Rihanna responded, "You’re bugging! I walked into that thinking, 'I am a musician. I do not act. I don’t know anything about this.' I felt like the nerd ball, walking in there like, 'What the hell am I doing here?'"

"The problem is that we were all like, 'Oh my god, it’s Rihanna!' For some reason, I kept singing your songs around you all the time, even though I’m sure you were like, 'Please stop doing that.' People were like, 'You can’t sing her songs in front of her!'" Paulson said.

RiRi never gets personal, but she delved deep in this interview with her former costar Sarah Paulson asking the questions.

Paulson even went so far as to ask Rihanna about her dating life, something the musician keeps very private. Interview captioned this post, "@mssarahcatharinepaulson: “Who are you dating?⁣"  @badgalriri: “Google it.” The friends, former costars, and future karaoke partners get sort of personal on the cover of our Summer issue, on stands everywhere tomorrow."

Rihanna is rumored to be dating Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel.

Rihanna said in the interview, "My career is my purpose, and it should never feel like anything other than a happy place. I’ve made little things a big deal, like going for a walk or going to the grocery store. I got into a new relationship, and it matters to me. It was like, 'I need to make time for this.' Just like I nurture my businesses, I need to nurture this as well."

She also revealed to Paulson that she is in love, and said that "Only god knows that, girl. We plan and god laughs, right?" about whether or not she'll be getting married anytime soon.

Rihanna loves children and posts pictures all the time with her baby cousin Majesty on her Instagram.

Rihanna invited Paulson to ask the nitty-gritty, tough questions. Paulson dove right in and asked her about her romantic life, plus whether or not she wants to get married and have a family.

"Do you want to be a mother?" Paulson asked.

Rihanna responded, "More than anything in life."

Paulson pointed out the kids the Fenty founder posts on her Instagram. She shared that it's mostly her 5-year-old cousin, Majesty, who has her heart. The singer posted a birthday photo series of the little one as a baby, and wrote, "my baby Majesty is a big girl today! HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY to my real life princess, Her #Majesty. Aunty loves everything about you. My lil oxtail!"

Rihanna discussed her faith and what's most important to her in life.

Paulson asked her what she does first thing in the morning, to which the multimillionaire responded, "Pray."

Paulson asked if she had always been devout in her religion. "I’ve always been. My first time praying and fasting was when I was seven years old. I did that on my own, because I wanted to go to New York, and I knew that this was a sacrifice I had to make in order for god to make sure I could get there... I have been in a place where I felt like maybe I had disappointed god so much that we weren’t as close. Actually, that happened to me while I was making Anti. That was a really hard time, but, thank god, I got through it."

Rihanna was recently named the richest woman in music, thanks in part to her partnership with fashion house LVMH.

Rihanna posted a picture with her partner at LVMH Bernard Arnault. Paulson talked to Rihanna about her humble beginnings in Barbados and when she wore makeup for the first time. The duo also discussed how Rihanna rose to fame, and the fact that her fans, who call themselves The Navy, have grown up with her.

Rihanna also revealed that recording her next album is taking longer than anticipated.

Her "richest woman in music" status doesn't come easy. She is constantly working on her various ventures in the Fenty empire. Plus, she is still managing to keep up with her personal life.

"It’s the reason why an album isn’t being spat out like it used to. I used to be in the studio, only the studio, for three months straight, and an album would come out. Now it’s like a carousel. I do fashion one day, lingerie the next, beauty the next, then music the next. It’s like having a bunch of kids, and you need to take care of them all."
