Taylor Swift knows how to throw a party. Remember the epic 4th of July parties from years past? Sadly, she laid low this summer, and we missed out on the star-studded photos from the singer-songwriter's bash. But Swift finally decided that a party was overdue, and she hosted a New Year's Eve party for the books. And yes, of course there are pics.
Swift brought her girl gang — which includes actresses, models, and close friends — back together for a star-studded bash on New Year's Eve.

Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Gigi Hadid, and Swift's best friend Abigail were in attendance, just to name a few.
The theme, for some reason, was childhood heroes, and the results were incredible. Swift dressed as Ariel, complete with a green tail and a red wig. She looked bomb.

Others in attendance dressed as Avril Lavigne, Gwen Stefani in the No Doubt era, Ms. Frizzle, Audrey Hepburn, Nancy Drew, Frida Kahlo, and Cinderella.
Reynolds either didn't get the memo or just decided to dress as himself.

And he nailed it. Peep him and Swift sipping on Aviation Gin, the spirit he now owns.

The costumes were a nice twist for the New Year's Eve party. I mean, who doesn't want to play dress up to kick off a new year?

I do have one serious question, though: Why are the snacks untouched? Did nobody eat at this gathering?
Tbh the only thing I care about in this picture is that the cheese plate is untouched. That is NOT okay! pic.twitter.com/3r0mS9YbAH

Meanwhile, the same day as her 2019 kickoff celebration, Swift's Netflix documentary about her recent "Reputation" tour dropped.

And apparently, fans loved it so much, her "Reputation" album reentered the top five albums on iTunes, even though it was released on November 10, 2017.

Even non-fans appreciated her documentary, which is saying A LOT.

So Taylor Swift really came out of the rep era dressed as a drunk mermaid, with her incredibly spectacular Stadium Tour on Netflix and the general public praising her?

Weird flex but I’m down.
