Whole Foods has totally gotten on board with the line, too. The brand even offered "Master of None" fans a promotion for free grocery delivery the week after the show came out.

But if "going to Whole Foods" has become the new "hi" or "hey, what's up," then it's really no better than saying "hi" or "hey, what's up" because it's just as unoriginal, as Dev's date learns when he reveals that he's used it on every other woman he messages on the app.

"I get that it can be hard out there as a guy in the world of internet dating, but it's not that hard to write a one-sentence message that's specific to the person's profile," another friend of mine said. "And competition being what it is, most smart ladies aren't going to give you the time of day if you don't make at least a little effort."

Couldn't agree more.

And besides, I'm really much more of a Trader Joe's girl myself.
