Amber Rose announced her upcoming Slut Walk and called out Instagram’s double standard against nudity in one fell swoop: She freed her nipples.

The model and women’s advocate posted two versions of the same photo to both Twitter and Instagram. The Twitter version shows Rose wearing a plush white coat with her nipple exposed. The tweet simply reads "#AmberRoseSlutWalk2016."

Rose posted a censored version to Instagram because the site has a sexist nudity clause.  Instagram's official community guidelines state:

"We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that are artistic or creative in nature, but for a variety of reasons, we don’t allow nudity on Instagram. This includes photos, videos, and some digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks. It also includes some photos of female nipples, but photos of post-masectomy scarring and women actively breastfeeding are allowed. Nudity in photos of paintings and sculptures is OK, too."

The simple Instagram caption read "#freethenipple #MUVA photo by @solmazsaberi #AmberRoseSlutWalk2016."

During a sit down with USA Today, Rose discussed the double standards around female nipples:

"The reasons why we can’t have our breasts anywhere is because men feel we’re enticing them when really we’re not," she said. "You know, men can walk around with their shirts off… but we can’t do that because they look at us as it being too provocative or sexual when really it’s just a body. Our breasts are just made to feed our children. That’s what they’re for."

Battling Instagram's policy aligns with Rose's brand of feminism. The 32-year-old hosted her first SlutWalk in Los Angeles in 2015 to fight against "shaming, oppression, assault, and violence," according to the SlutWalk's official page.

She's also highlighted America's fascination with slut shaming over the past year and even participated in a hilarious Funny or Die parody of "the walk of shame." In that video, Rose explains that women should not be shamed or judged for having a one-night stand.

Other famous women, like Miley Cyrus, Cara Delevingne, and Scout Willis have also embraced the #FreetheNipple campaign. Instagram's also censored model Chrissy Teigen for posting nude photos. She told Mashable that she posts the images to highlight the sexist treatment of female nipples.

"The fact that I have to censor myself from my photo at all when there are full-on porn being shot across Twitter and Instagram every day is crazy," Teigen said. "But women are beautiful and if it’s a beautiful photo that isn’t vulgar, then who cares?"

It's powerful to see Amber Rose taking on Instagram's blatantly sexist community guidelines. She's showing Instagram that the female body is too beautiful to be censored.

Here’s hoping Rose continues to free her nipples in the name of female empowerment.

Rose hasn't announced the date of her upcoming SlutWalk.
