Though she's been in the limelight since birth, ever since Paris Jackson gave her raw and revealing Rolling Stone interview, the teenage daughter of the late Michael Jackson has already endured a ton of scrutiny — on everything from her weight to her body hair.
Perhaps that is why Paris Jackson aired out her grievances once and for all to anyone who likes to police how women express their feminism and their bodies.
Jackson posted a topless photo of herself on Instagram and explained that nudity is how she feels close to nature.
She also added that her (or anyone else's) body shouldn't be perverted:
"It's actually a beautiful thing and you don't have to make it sexual the way many Hollywood stars (and the media) do. Not only is your body a temple and should be worshipped as so [sic], but also part of feminism is being able to express yourself in your own way, whether it's being conservative and wearing lots of clothes or showing yourself."
After that empowering passage, she then went on to say that everyone has a right to love themselves just as they are.
"The human body is a beautiful thing and no matter what 'flaws' you have, whether it be scars, or extra weight, stretch marks, freckles, whatever, it is beautiful and you should express yourself however you feel comfortable."
Jackson also encouraged anyone who is uncomfortable with her message to unfollow her because she "cannot apologize for this in any way."
"It is who I am and I refuse to shy away and keep my beliefs a secret. Every one has an opinion and everyone has their beliefs. We don't always agree with one another and that's okay. But again, we are all human, and to appreciate the things that other people do that make us human helps us feel connected. How can that be a bad thing?"
