Punk pop superstar Pink just shaved her head and feels totally liberated.

Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, often uses her hair as an act of self-expression and has chosen from a wide variety of styles. Her latest faux hawk, fade hairstyle has been a staple for the past year, so it was definitely time for a change.

Taking a look back at some of the singer's most iconic hairstyles proves that she's always had a punk rock spirit. She's passed that sense of freedom and creativity on to her kids, too. Her 8-year-old daughter, Willow, has also sported a wide range of styles and colors, even a vibrant blue shade.

Feeling liberated and "letting go" with her new shaved head.

The musician shared a sweet tribute to the hairstyle she's had for so long, cupping her recently chopped strands in her hands. Perhaps this new cut signifies a new stage in Pink's life. "Letting go," she captioned the post, simply. So many people wrote comments of support to the superstar.

Pamela Neal shared a picture of all of the artist's hair on the ground.

Celebrity hairstylist Pamela Neal shared all of Pink's chopped locks. The singer has worked with Neal in the past to craft some of her most stylish, coiffed looks. Now they've moved on to quite possibly her edgiest style yet.

Taking a trip down hair memory lane... who could forget when Pink's hair was pink!?

The iconic early '00s style fit the pop singer to a tee. The vibrant color fit the artist's style and entertainment persona. Pink shared this throwback in May 2019, pictured in a leather set with a leather cowboy hat, her pink hair slicked back into a short chop.

The artist has always experimented with different colors, including this downright wacky look from the '90s.

From blond to red to black to whatever this combination of colors would be called, Pink has tried it all. This sweet throwback post is a Father's Day tribute to her dad. "That hair and money dress is a look xD," one fan commented.

She shared a post for her mom on Mother's Day and showed off a ton of her most notable styles.

This icy platinum moment in the first photo is seriously everything. Pink's clearly been rocking the faux hawk, fade style for a long time now, and she was ready for a change. I wonder if she plans on dyeing her blond buzz cut?

The singer has never cared about what others think about her avant-garde style.

In August 2017, at the MTV Video Music Awards, Pink talked about having a positive body image and a conversation she had with her daughter about self-love. Her daughter expressed feeling "ugly," so she showed off androgynous artists who have paved the way for others to feel comfortable in their own skin.

Pink lets her kids express themselves with their looks, and even let Willow get a mohawk and dye her hair blue.

Pink spoke out about parents shaming others for letting their kids experiment with wild hairstyles. "I heard people were bummed on Jessica Simpson for letting her 7-year-old get her hair colored. So we thought we’d share what we did yesterday. #bluehairdontcare," Pink captioned an Instagram post dyeing Willow's hair. And, for Halloween, they let their freak flag fly, and took on the persona of their most punk rock selves.

Ending a decade of Pink hairstyles with a totally new look, so say goodbye to that gorgeous faux hawk.

Pink already has had an extremely successful career, and it's not slowing down anytime soon. The artist has been touring all year in support of her latest album, Hurts 2B Human. Now she's letting go of 2019 and stepping into the New Year looking fierce.
