Two graphic designers who worked on the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films, Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, created gift wraps based on some recognizable and subtle elements from the iconic film series.
Sold at their London-based design shop dedicated to all things Harry Potter and the Wizarding World, the wrapping paper sheets are 5.95 euros, which translates to about $7. The gift wrap is now available to preorder and ships worldwide.
This gift wrap is a replica of the Marauder's Map first seen in the third Harry Potter film, The Prisoner of Azkaban. Harry's father, James, along with his friends Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and Sirius Black, created the map to spy on those on the Hogwarts grounds.
Sirius Black's family tree is long and storied and connects Harry Potter's godfather with the wicked Bellatrix LeStrange. The tapestry is featured in the Order of the Phoenix's hideaway at 12 Grimmauld Place. In the film, the disowned family members were burned out of the fabric, including Sirius Black.
These various book covers were all designed by Mina and Lima for the movies. The artwork can be spotted throughout the film series in the Hogwarts library or in the book stores. Hermione Granger would have been spotted with any number of these books under her nose.
Hogwarts' favorite sport and one of Harry Potter's most famous skills is the Quidditch game. This wrapping paper features the golden snitch, and was originally designed to be part of the background dressing for the scene with the Quidditch World Cup. Again this wrap comes with two folded sheets, each 50 x 70 cm.
