Kristen Stewart opened up to Mastermind magazine about her sexuality. For years, many have speculated about how Stewart identifies. The 28-year-old has dated both men and women, but in recent years has appeared to only have a few girlfriends.
Stewart has discussed her preferences in the past without giving a specific answer, and this time was no different.
So we all know Kristen Stewart from her "Twilight" days.
Stewart has had some very public relationships.
Back in the day, Stewart's relationship with Rob Pattinson set fire to the rain because it meant Bella and Edward were a thing in real life.
And then, of course, those photos of her cheating on Pattinson with "Snow White" director Rupert Sanders (who was also married at the time) were leaked by UsWeekly.

Since then, Kristen has only ever been photographed with women. She is allegedly currently with girlfriend Stella Maxwell.

She previously had been seen canoodling with St. Vincent.

And before that she had a fling with the model Soko.

Because society has some pretty dated views on sexuality, seeing Kristen with men and then with women has peaked the public's interest on her identity.
“I would never talk about any of my relationships before, but once I started dating girls it seemed like there was an opportunity to represent something really positive,” Stewart told the New York Times in 2016.
“It changed when I started dating a girl,” Stewart told Elle, in 2016, about being less private about her relationships. “I was like, actually, to hide this provides the implication that I’m not down with it or I’m ashamed of it, so I had to alter how I approached being in public. It opened my life up and I’m so much happier... Google me, I’m not hiding.”
In 2015, Stewart told Nylon she didn't feel a need to identify in a specific way. "If you feel like you really want to define yourself, and you have the ability to articulate those parameters and that in itself defines you, then do it. But I am an actress, man. I live in the fucking ambiguity of this life and I love it."
“I think in three or four years, there are going to be a whole lot more people who don’t think it’s necessary to figure out if you’re gay or straight. It’s like, just do your thing,” she said. (I think now that it's 2018, that's a pretty accurate estimate.)
Recently, Stewart has echoed a similar sentiment in her spread with MASTERMIND magazine.
“Yeah, ambiguity is my favorite thing ever. In terms of sexuality? For sure,” Stewart said.
“And also in making films, if you perfectly answer every question, you don’t allow for people to have their own experience and really indulge a thought. I feel the same way about how we f— each other. You don’t want to know everything all the time," Stewart told the magazine.
Well, there you have it.
