Kim Kardashian West and her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic have been working together for years now. Long before the days of Kardashian's reign as queen of Instagram, Dedivanovic was there helping her create her look, so it makes sense the two are now collaborating on makeup together.

Now that we have a release date for the KKW x Mario lipstick and eye shadow palette collab, we're counting down the days until we can all finally have Kim's consistently slayed face. But even if you don't have a Kardashian budget, Dedivanovic is now sharing how you can get the mogul’s look by leaving one detail behind.

Dedivanovic posted a picture from the KKW x Mario campaign and explained on his Insta story why he went sans lashes.

"A lot of times actually when I do photo shoots, especially beauty, I don’t use false lashes, especially strips, because it can cover the eye shadows [and] the lids," he said.

Hey, he DOES have a point. Who would want to cover that masterful work? Plus, it's probably way healthier for your lashes in the long run.

"I like to leave some elements soft… I like to be able to see the lids," he said, adding that he prefers it for close-up shots.

At the end of the day, though, Dedivanovic noted it's up to you what eye look you prefer.

Dedivanovic stressed that his technique is not law, and that makeup lovers should have the freedom to try whatever look they prefer.

"Just because I like that or I like a certain thing doesn’t mean that it’s right," he said. "You guys are free to do and play and kind of create whatever you like. If you have an aesthetic and you like really long lashes or thick lashes then that’s great, that’s beautiful. I enjoy it [all]."

His tip will definitely save my wallet AND my lashes!
