Revelio release date: November 12, 2021. Try not to show your disappointment, Fantastic Beasts fans, the third installment of the Harry Potter spin-off has been pushed back another year.

Other than this tidbit of information, little is known about the third Fantastic Beasts film. It's assumed that Eddie Redmayne will return to his role as the lead character Newt Scamander, and Johnny Depp and Ezra Miller will also reprise their roles as Gellert Grindelwald and Credence respectively.

Filming will begin next spring in 2020, and while director David Yates and writer J.K. Rowling already know where it will be set, that information is being kept tightly under wraps.

Each film in the five-part saga will take place in a different part of the world. We have already seen New York and Paris in the previous two films. Some fans have already begun speculating as to where the team of wizards will go next.

"Save the date," the caption on this announcement reads. Does anyone have a calendar for three years from now?

The Fantastic Beasts Instagram account posted a save the date for the third film, debuting November 12, 2021. That's only about 900 days away, so let me see if I can pencil it in. The third film sticks with the fall release trend the previous two have had, but is coming three years after Crimes of Grindelwald.

Fans of the Harry Potter universe were expecting the film to release in 2020; now they have to wait another year.

While the fans of the series are loyal, the three-year delay is disappointing to most. Shortly after the premiere of Crimes of Grindelwald it was reported that the third film would be expected in November 2020. Plus the film left on such a cliffhanger, revealing the true bloodline of Credence as connected to the Dumbledores. Fans are frustrated by the amount of questions waiting to be answered.

Shortly after finishing writing the script in 2018, Rowling took to Twitter to tease the third movie.

"Answers are given." That's all fans got when asking for hints about the next movie. Given how many questions were left unanswered at the end of part two, it's unclear what will be revealed. Will we learn the truth about Credence's heritage? Are all of the wizards who left to follow Grindelwald in the blue fire doomed, e.g., Queenie? And will we ever get to see the adorably awkward relationship between Newt and Tina blossom?

She also teased the possible setting of the next film.

In one of her only responses regarding location, she told a fan who requested she bring Newt Scamander to Rio that "Rio de Janeiro had better brace itself" with a winking emoji. Come next spring we'll need all eyes on Brazil.

Fans will have to wait patiently to get the answers they've been craving.

Three years can feel like a lifetime to some die-hard fans of the series. The Harry Potter fan base is hard-core, so it can be safely assumed that they'll patiently wait for the third part, but they're not going to be happy about it.

Mostly fans are just excited to know the film is coming at all.

The second film of the series did not do as well as the first one. Crimes of Grindelwald received a dismal 37% score on Rotten Tomatoes while Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them earned a 74%. Now that a release date has been set, fans are relieved and excited to see how the story continues.

One fan has some strong feelings about the delay but is still supportive of the series.

Three years after the latest Fantastic Beasts film is a long time to wait and hear how the story continues. One fan is still attached to the characters, but is disappointed by the delay. According to the fan, it could improve the quality of the film. Hopefully the far-off release date doesn't cause fans to lose interest.

One fan is worried the release date could have a "detrimental" effect on the success of the films.

With a three-year wait, it's possible that hype for the movie could fade. Trusting the incredible storytelling abilities of J.K. Rowling and the star power of the cast are the only things keeping many fans going. It will be an interesting development to see how the team at Warner Brothers continues to keep the excitement for the series alive during the hiatus.

Kelsey Impicciche, YouTuber and producer at BuzzFeed, thinks that the release date is too far off.

The lover of all "nerdy stuff" wrote on her Twitter, "...NOVEMBER 12 2021 IS TOO FAR AWAY." Followers asked Impicciche if she would still watch the upcoming film despite criticism for the second installment, and she replied "They weren't the best, but I'm a stan. I'm gonna watch it."

One commenter requests, nay, demands a kiss between the "will they or won't they" couple, Newt and Tina.

If fans have to wait three years for the next Fantastic Beasts movie, they're going to make a few requests while they do so. One such request is a kiss between Newt and Tina. At the end of Crimes of Grindelwald, the two finally had some clarity on their feelings for each other, but no action. Fans were disappointed to say the least.
