Who wouldn't want to know what happened after Ariel and Eric tie the knot or after Simba took over as ruler of the Pridelands? Some of the sequels and spin-offs are cheesy, but no doubt totally entertaining and a nostalgic throwback. Not all of them are bad, though. Toy Story 2 racked up a perfect critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride is all about Simba's daughter, Kiara.
Simba and Nala have continued their legacy and have a daughter, Kiara, who will one day take over as ruler of Pride Rock. Things take a turn, though, when she falls for the boy on the wrong side of the savanna. Kovu is part of a pride that still honors Scar's legacy, so it's a classic Romeo and Juliet scenario for the lovebirds.
Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 are on Disney+ too.
Toy Story is one of the rare sagas that improves with each iteration. Toy Story 2 introduced viewers to two iconic characters: Jessie and Bullseye. Then Toy Story 3 drew tears as Andy went off to college. Finally, Toy Story 4 introduced fans to the beloved Forky, who now has his own spin-off on the service. Fans will have to wait a little longer for the final chapter of the saga to drop on the service, but for now, they can get by with the first three installments.
Brother Bear 2 is about Kenai finding love.
One underrated Disney film is Brother Bear and its sequel. In the first film, Kenai shapeshifts into a bear and must stay that way until he learns a lesson in humility. But toward the end, he decides to stay with his newfound family. However, that might change in Brother Bear 2 when he meets Nita, a girl from his past life as a human.
The Descendants saga is all about the iconic Disney villains' children and how they hold up the family legacy.
The latest installment of the Disney Channel original series Descendants isn't out on the platform yet, but luckily the first two are. In Descendants 2, Mal (Dove Cameron) aka Maleficent's daughter returns to her home at the Isle of Lost where Uma (China Anne McClain) aka Ursula's daughter has taken over.
The Little Mermaid 2 is all about Ariel and Eric's headstrong daughter who yearns for the ocean.
Ariel and Eric's daughter, Melody, must stay within the confines of the castle walls for fear of Ursula's sister Morgana's threat. Of course, just like her mother, Melody's adventurous spirit takes her far beyond the castle walls and into the ocean. In a flipped version of her mother's story, Melody gets a tail as opposed to legs and discovers Atlantis for the first time.
The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning tells the origin story of Ariel and why King Triton hates humans so much.
Ariel's Beginning isn't a sequel, but a prequel to The Little Mermaid story. Fans learn what happened to Ariel and her sisters' mother, plus why King Triton is so opposed to humans and the land above. We also get to meet Ariel's sisters and see an adorable baby mermaid.
Tarzan and Jane is a spin-off about the couple's journey through the jungle.
Tarzan and Jane is a series of short stories about the happy couple's time in the jungle since the events of Tarzan. The duo spend most of their days swinging through vines and jumping off waterfalls. But on their anniversary, Jane wants to do something special, so she spends the day pondering their past adventures.
Cars 2 takes the cars far from Radiator Springs and on an international adventure.
In Cars 2, Lightning McQueen heads to Japan to compete in the World Grand Prix. Of course, he brings along his pal Mater, who has never been this far away from home. While McQueen is focused on winning the race, Mater becomes involved in a secret spy mission.
This is one of those sequels that is so bad it's good. It's often regarded as one of the worst of the Pixar films to date. Of course, die-hard Cars fans will find the fun in the continuation of their favorite characters' stories.
