Demi Lovato took a short social media hiatus after her last post on Instagram on December 4 with the caption, "The next time you hear from me, I’ll be singing...." Well, it looks like she's keeping good on her promises, as it's just been announced that she'll be performing at the 2020 Grammy Awards. The exciting news has all of her fans buzzing and calling for a future nomination and award for the crooner herself.

Check it out.

As more details of the 2020 Grammy Awards are revealed, a very special announcement came yesterday.

"I told you the next time you’d hear from me I’d be singing," she said on her Instagram, telling everyone about the big news. She'll be joining Camila Cabello, H.E.R., and the Jonas Brothers among the evening's highly anticipated performers.

Fans think that the performance is the perfect opportunity for her to win a Grammy.

"Demi singing the last verse of sober on a piano. a choir enters and she starts belting out still got me. in the end, ariana enters and give her a grammy for tmylm best pop album because it was snubbed, she cries, her performance goes viral and she’s #1 on hot 100. A CONCEPT," a hopeful fan tweeted about her finally getting her win.

It's also the perfect timing to release new music.

"Demi should release the lead this friday BECAUSE it will be getting streams and sales etc then the Grammy performance on Sunday will make her go some peaks up," another superfan said. Hey, if there's one thing we do know, it's that buzz does sell album streams.

It's worth mentioning that she's not even nominated this year.

And that's what makes it all so powerful. Even without a nomination or a Grammy, she's still been deemed a music icon in the eyes of many. "Demi doesn’t even have a grammy nor is she nominated this year and she’s taking the main stage. Her status... her power," someone said about the powerful story.

We'll be waiting.
