Ariana Grande's reign is no more. Her hit song "Thank U, Next" has been replaced on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by "Without Me" by Halsey. This is the first time Halsey has been on the top of the chart on her own, but she did spend some time at the top because of her collaboration with The Chainsmokers on "Closer." Grande spent seven weeks at number one because of her self-love anthem.
Congratulations to Halsey! She just graced the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time solo.
That means "Without Me" has knocked "Thank U, Next" from the top spot. The song was there for seven weeks through the end of last year.
All good things must come to an end.
In the caption of the post, Halsey says she's "very overwhelmed and confused and so very very very VERY happy."
Halsey started getting her talent out there by singing on Tumblr.
This news in a way brings things full circle for the singer since she says the song came from a "very lonely place."
We've all been there.
Ariana Grande took to Instagram and congratulated Halsey on her story.
"To girls on top all 2019."
Halsey responded on her own Instagram story saying "Luv u bb. Dynamic women who are headstrong + compassionate all 2019"
She even added blue butterflies to the post.
Her fans were very quick to congratulate her.
