Mark my words: 2019 is about to be the year of Miley Cyrus. Over the past week, she's made quite a few TV and radio appearances to promote her new music with Mark Ronson — which is excellent, might I add – all leading up to a performance on "Saturday Night Live."

The two took the stage on Saturday night and absolutely crushed their new hit "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart," as well as a cover of the heartbreakingly beautiful "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" alongside Sean Ono Lennon. But rather than focusing on the music, Twitter couldn't stop talking about Cyrus' outfit.

Cyrus and Ronson released their country-tinged, dramatic pop jam "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" at the end of November to widespread praise. They are truly a match made in heaven. And fortunately for us, they have a lot more music in the works to be released next year.

"I heard the drawl in her voice and the twang when I saw her live on 'SNL.' My jaw dropped and I became super-fixated about being able to work with her," Ronson said about working with Cyrus. "But we weren't trying to make a Western song. I think with Miley, just the way she wrote the verses and the way the melody came out came naturally."

Fittingly, the two were invited to perform as the musical guests on the Matt Damon–hosted holiday episode of "Saturday Night Live."

Many fans were disappointed Cyrus wouldn't be hosting as well, but the performances definitely made up for it. Dressed in a platinum suit, she crooned a dramatic rendition of "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" as Ronson played acoustic guitar. Meanwhile, the climactic car chase from the music video was displayed behind them.

She delivered powerful, unparalleled vocals, but judging by the live Twitter feed, you'd never know it. Everyone seemed much more preoccupied with her outfit — a completely unzipped sparkly tracksuit, with nothing underneath.

The 26-year-old artist obviously had double-sided fabric tape holding the jacket in place, but people were absolutely shocked that she evaded a wardrobe malfunction.

Some people were even hoping for one.

Others pointed out that Cyrus' Disney baggage made her the target of some sexist double standards.

But honestly, the girl looked fierce AF and delivered one of the most powerful performances on 'SNL' this year. So, say what you will.

For their second act, Cyrus and Ronson returned to the stage with Sean Ono Lennon — the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono — to perform the iconic holiday tune "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)."

"We wanted to do a Christmas song, and I don't think anything could speak louder about what's going on right now than "War Is Over," Cyrus told Fallon earlier in the week.

It's insanely poignant for the times and will most definitely give you chills. We're almost out of 2018, y'all. War is over.
