The Democratic party has their official presidential nominee, and for the first time in history, that person is a "she."
Hillary Clinton secured her candidacy during the Democratic National Convention's "roll call," where each state announced which candidate they were allocating delegates to. The former secretary of state will be the candidate to take on Donald Trump in this November’s presidential election.

"I move that Hillary Clinton be selected as the nominee for the next president of the United States," he said.
