Apparently Mrs. Trump disagrees with the Donald, especially when he uses foul language (flashback to the debate when Trump called out the ex-Mexican prez for using the word "fuck"). However, Melania still supports her husband.
In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, which aired on February 29, Melania said Donald's language during a New Hampshire rally bothered her. Three weeks ago, Trump repeatedly referred to his rival, Texas senator Ted Cruz, as a "pussy" during a raucous rally.
Melania was there, and hoped
he wouldn’t repeat the vile word.
"I'm thinking like, 'Don't repeat it,' in my head, for him, 'Don't repeat it. Just don’t say it because the next day, media, all they will talk about is that.' But he repeated it," she said. "He's with the momentum, he goes with the flow, he goes with the people. They're having fun, everybody was cheering. And he said it and the next day — but he repeated the word. That was not his word."
She said that she spoke to her husband about it after the incident.
"I don't agree with everything that he says, but you know, that is normal. I'm my own person, I tell him what I think, I'm standing very strong on the ground on my two feet and I’m my own person, and I think that's very important in the relationship."
While independence in a relationship is lauded, it's still alarming that Melania doesn’t take issue with the
fact that her husband evades questions about endorsements from white supremacists, calls
Mexican rapists, wants to kick Muslims out of the country, and has done other
Melania — a Slovenian immigrant — should oppose her husband's views because he will alienate other immigrants and women if he's elected to the White House.
