My little sister is the first person I thought of then Hillary Clinton became the first official female major party nominee after the DNC's roll call last night.

She, at 8-years-old, knows how big a deal it is for a woman to get this far in the quest to be president. Sadly, I wasn't there to see her reaction, but parents across the United States captured their own daughters' responses.

They used social media to share the moment their daughters witnessed history, and it's damn near impossible for me to get through them without tearing up.

We compiled a few here because what's even more historic than Clinton becoming the democratic nominee are the little girls, who for the first time, know what it's like to see a woman become a presidential contender:

The moment Hillary Clinton made history:

And little girls watching it happen:

Another daughter was in awe of Clinton, too.
